Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many large cities, the demand of housing is increasing due to inhabitiants growth. Some people belive that constructing multi story building is the most effective way to provide enough homes. I firmly agree with this statement becuase high rise buildings save spaces and accomdate more people, although other housins options are also necessary.
One major advantage of tall apartmens is that they can provide accomdations for a large number of people in limited area. Since land in big urban areas are expensive and scarce, so building upwars is a practical way For example, major cities around the world such as Karachi, Delhi, Dhaka individuals are mainly live in high rise building beciase they can budget friendly and people with low income can easily afford it. Moreover, these apartments are provde considerble space for local business becuase there ground floor and mainly use of it. As a result, it is conveniet for residents because everything they need is nearby.
Another benefit is that high rise development can make better use of public service and infrastructure. When people live in one area, government can provide basic amenities such as transport, water, hospitals and electricity more efficently. However, constructing tall apartment is not the only solution, many people prefer house with garden and outdoor space, especially individuals with families. In additon, poorly planned apartment blocks can create traffic congestion, overcrowding and pressure on officials.
In conclusion, I largely agree that high rise apartments are one of the best way to meet growing demand for housing in cities. Although some individuals are consider housing is moire vital way to live when they have child or they married.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you firmly agree that tall buildings are an effective response to urban housing demand, while acknowledging that other options matter. You give relevant reasons, including limited and expensive land and the potential to serve residents with nearby amenities. The discussion of infrastructure and the drawbacks of apartment living also addresses the issue, so the response covers the task. However, some support is less fully developed: the examples of Karachi, Delhi and Dhaka are asserted rather than explained, and the point about ground-floor businesses is difficult to follow. The conclusion introduces a preference for housing for married people or families without clearly connecting it to your overall argument. Develop examples and clarify how each point supports your position to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs with distinct main points, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “One major advantage,” “Moreover,” “Another benefit,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the progression. The contrast introduced by “However” is also relevant. At times, though, connections between ideas are mechanical or unclear. For example, the sentence about ground-floor businesses does not clearly explain how they relate to the benefits of tall apartments, and the final sentence shifts to family preferences without linking this point back to the argument. Some sentences also run ideas together, weakening the flow. Use clearer topic sentences and make the relationship between each example, explanation and main claim explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “demand,” “scarce,” “infrastructure,” “amenities,” and “traffic congestion.” These choices show some range beyond basic housing terms. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are noticeable throughout, as in “inhabitiants,” “accomdate,” “apartmens,” and “efficently,” and several combinations are unnatural or unclear, such as “provide considerable space for local business” and “individuals are consider housing.” These issues sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to identify. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For instance, use “accommodate more residents,” “commercial space,” and “residents with lower incomes” where appropriate. More precise vocabulary would help express your ideas without relying on vague or awkward phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “Since land…” and a contrast introduced by “although.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main argument is generally understandable. However, there are some errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and punctuation. For example, “land in big urban areas are” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “Since … scarce, so building…” combines connectors incorrectly. The sentence beginning “However, constructing tall apartment is not the only solution, many people…” joins two independent clauses without suitable punctuation. The conclusion also contains unclear grammatical patterns. Practise building accurate complex sentences and separating complete clauses; this will improve control while preserving the range you are attempting.
