Student answer (Band 5.0)

I personally believe that it can be the best option to provide homes for the people living in large cities especially those who have migrated from different far away areas or under developed regions of pakistan, for those it can be affordable and they can have initial social support as well for their mental health, also deforestation and natural habitat can be conserved.

However, it introduce multiple clashes that can be due to severage systems, electricity bills, water etc bills as they have to be divided in major apartments raising different concerns in society but these can be resolved by separate wiring and systems, these separation can become costly for the land owners but many of them can manage but they don't bother to do so otherwise to manage over-population in urban areas it can be beneficial approach if they have separate things, residents have their own control by themselves.

But people who can afford their expenses and want to live separately, are not social they prefer to have homes in societies and even remain non-social during their residency in these apartments too.

Therefore, it completely depends upon personal preference and afforadability, but can be useful approach to manage concerning over-population and not destroying forests and lands to build up new societies and separate villas and for maintaining ecosystem and ecosystem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a relevant, qualified position: tall apartments may help accommodate urban residents and protect forests, but their suitability depends on affordability and personal preference. The points about social support, shared services and residents who prefer separate homes show engagement with the question. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening calls apartments “the best option,” while the conclusion says the choice “completely depends” on preference and affordability. Several ideas, especially the problems with utilities and how separate systems would resolve them, are difficult to follow or insufficiently explained. The response also does not meet the 250-word minimum, so there is limited space to develop reasons and provide a specific example. State your degree of agreement clearly and extend each main reason with explanation or evidence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation: the response moves from benefits to possible drawbacks and then to a concluding view. “However” and “Therefore” signal these shifts, and the reader can identify the broad topic of each section. Nevertheless, the progression within paragraphs is often unclear, particularly in the long second paragraph, where utility problems, costs, population management and residents’ control are combined in one sentence. The contrast about people who can afford separate homes is also not clearly linked to the preceding point. Paragraphing is limited, and repeated references to “these” and “they” make it hard to identify what is being discussed. Use separate paragraphs for benefits, drawbacks and your final position, and connect each point with clear references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “deforestation,” “natural habitat,” “over-population” and “ecosystem,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “severage systems,” “separate things,” and “concerning over-population.” “Ecosystem” is repeated in the conclusion, while “bills” is used imprecisely for utilities. These choices sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to understand. Aim for precise terms such as “sewage systems,” “separate utility connections” and “urban overcrowding,” and avoid repeating the same key word when a clear alternative is available. Check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to express complex relationships, for example by using “especially those who have migrated” and “as they have to be divided,” but long sentences are often difficult to control. The opening sentence joins several ideas with commas, creating a run-on structure, and the second paragraph contains a lengthy chain of clauses that obscures the relationships between them. There are also frequent errors in verb forms and agreement, as in “it introduce,” and in sentence construction, as in “these separation can become costly.” Articles and punctuation are also inconsistent. Use shorter sentences to present one main idea at a time, then practise accurate complex forms with clear subjects and verbs.
