Student answer (Band 6.0)
Tall apartment blocks are considered the most effective method to provide sufficient homes for public in big cities. I strongly agree with this view because it occupies less space and give resedence to hundreds of people under the same roof, which helps in the sustainable development of the cities.
One major benifit is that, it provides an opportunity to the people to live in a same place which promotes the harmony. Families and relatives can live in neighbourhood instead of liivng in seprate homes at different places. Residients of the apartments may share the same parking and playgrounds which encourage the tolerance in the society. For instance, In Dubai the entire city is consist of multiple skycrapers, where people from all around the world lives. Moreover it enhances the beauty of the city. There people now a days prefer to live in the apartments.
Another reason is that, multi aprtment buildings helps to develope the master plan of the city. Authorities focus on the development which help in sustainable environment. It allows the authorities to include wider pavements and roads which help in the smooth flow of the traffic. Healthcare and eductaion institutions should also be built like tall aparments.
Skycrapers also provide eco friendly atmosphere. It helps fresh air and fascinating view of the nature. Although, some people criticise these building for excessive use of electricity which is used to keep it cool during hot weather but this problem can be overcome by using renewable energy sources such as wind and solar energy.
In conclusion, tall apartments enhances the beautiness of the city and people to people interaction. It also provides the sloution to overcome the traffic congestion and environmental problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening: you strongly agree that tall apartment blocks can provide homes efficiently, and the conclusion restates this view. You give relevant reasons, including shared facilities, city planning, traffic flow and renewable energy, with Dubai as an example. This addresses the task, but some points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that apartments promote harmony through shared parking and playgrounds needs a clearer link to how this helps provide enough homes. The point about healthcare and education institutions is also introduced without showing how it supports your argument. Develop fewer ideas more fully, and include a specific example or explanation of how high-rise construction increases housing capacity.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for supporting reasons, a counterpoint, and a conclusion. The progression from efficient land use to planning and environmental considerations is generally understandable. You also use signposts such as “One major benefit,” “Another reason,” and “Although.” However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “There people now a days prefer to live in the apartments” does not connect smoothly to the preceding Dubai example, and “It helps fresh air” leaves the reference of “It” uncertain. Improve cohesion by making each paragraph develop one central point and using precise references and transitions to show how each example supports it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “sustainable development,” “traffic congestion,” “renewable energy sources,” and “tolerance.” These choices help communicate the subject, but inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the phrasing awkward. Examples include “resedence,” “benifit,” “liivng,” “seprate,” and “sloution”; “beautiness” is also an unnatural form. Some collocations need refinement: “provide sufficient homes for public” and “helps fresh air” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, such as “provide housing for residents” and “improve air quality,” before trying to use more ambitious vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and more complex forms, including a reason clause (“because it occupies less space”) and a concession beginning “Although.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur in agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “it occupies less space and give” shifts from a singular subject to an uninflected verb, while “the entire city is consist” uses an incorrect verb form. In “multi apartment buildings helps,” the plural subject also requires a plural verb. Articles and sentence boundaries need attention in phrases such as “in a same place” and “Although, some people criticise…” Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and read each sentence aloud to catch awkward constructions.
