Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You state a position—“I partially agree”—and begin to give a relevant reason: tall apartments can use less land and accommodate people moving to a city. However, the response addresses the task only partially. The explanation is brief, the promised discussion of your views is not completed, and there is no developed example or consideration of alternatives to tall blocks. The phrase “provide so many facilities” is introduced but left unfinished, so it does not support your argument. The response also falls substantially short of the required 250 words, leaving the position and supporting ideas under-developed. To improve, explain both the benefits and limitations behind your partial agreement, and support each main point with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening paragraph gives your position, followed by a paragraph introducing reasons. Linking expressions such as “However,” “Chiefly,” and “Moreover” show an effort to connect ideas. At present, though, the progression is incomplete: the second paragraph ends with “To vindicate,” and the point about facilities is not explained. Some links are also awkward or unclear, particularly “Owing to which,” which does not connect smoothly to the following idea. Develop each paragraph around one complete point, use clear transitions between claims and explanations, and finish with a conclusion that restates your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some less common or formal vocabulary, including “Indubitably,” “myriad,” and “vindicate,” and the topic is generally recognisable. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural in context: “vindicate” does not fit the intended meaning of supporting a point, and “motion” is less suitable than “statement” or “view” here. Spelling errors such as “everyboody,” “acomodation,” “citis,” and “industury” are noticeable, while phrases such as “big apartment” and “give enough homes” are imprecise. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than inserting formal words, and proofread spelling. More precise housing vocabulary would help express your ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “However, I partially agree…” and the clause beginning “if someone come from another city.” The meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and grammar are frequent enough to limit clarity. For example, “build tall apartment save the space” needs a correctly formed subject and verb, while “if someone come” requires subject–verb agreement. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent in “these big apartment,” and punctuation spacing is uneven in “However ,I.” Practise building complete sentences with accurate agreement, articles, and plural forms. Then check punctuation and ensure that introductory clauses connect grammatically to the main clause.
