Student answer (Band 4.5)

In cities tall builldings has become poppular among certain demographic society . the people also start claiming that provided enough home for individuals are making crises in the cities and it is also so hard to make houses for all people in the cities . so making tall apartment blocks is the best way to provided enough homes . this essay will argue why build tall apartment blocks should made despite some potential risk.

people are always been wanteed their own houses for long time in the entire life they also warry about it all the time .because the life they never lead in their entire bloodline so they think if they ever trnsfer into the big cities they can have a modarate life . For examples ,There is a many people who are living outside the cities also wanted to come in the cities and lead their life peacefully because they also wanted to feel the life inside the cities . For everything in the large cities is start to grow tall apartment and start making cities crowd.

Dispite the minor risks associated with making tall appartment the idea that they are making cities busiest is completly preposterous . tall appartment vast number of pepole all together . so its make room for another building so it can have lots of pepole in one building . they prevented unwanteed houses .For examples unwanted houses are not nessesary people even not live there so it can make place short . overall, the idea that build tall apartment blocks is the way to save place and provide enouh houses for individuals who cant afford houses in city.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You take a position in favour of tall apartment blocks, especially when you say they can “have lots of people in one building” and “save place.” This is relevant to the question, but the response only minimally develops the argument. Much of the first body paragraph focuses on people wanting to move to cities and have a better life, rather than explaining how high-rise housing provides enough homes or why it is the best approach. The reference to “minor risks” is not followed by a clear explanation of what those risks are, and the example about unwanted houses is difficult to understand. Develop two relevant reasons, explain their effects, and use a specific example to support your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a concluding statement, and the overall position in favour of apartment blocks can be identified. However, ideas within paragraphs are not arranged in a clear progression: the first body paragraph moves from people wanting homes to migration and then to cities growing taller without showing the links between these points. Connectors such as “For examples,” “so,” and “overall” are used, but they do not consistently clarify how one idea supports the next. The conclusion also appears within the final body paragraph rather than as a distinct closing paragraph. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “tall apartment blocks,” “cities,” “individuals,” and “risks,” so the general subject is recognisable. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices that make parts of the argument hard to follow. For instance, “provided enough home” and “prevented unwanted houses” do not express the intended ideas clearly, while “cities busiest” is an imprecise description. Repeated use of “people,” “cities,” and “houses” also limits variety. Work on accurate topic collocations and spelling, and choose words that state the intended meaning directly, such as “accommodate residents” or “housing shortage.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There are attempts to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example, “the people also start claiming that provided enough home for individuals are making crises,” but the structure is faulty and the meaning is difficult to recover. Errors are frequent in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries: “people are always been wanteed,” “there is a many people,” and “it is also so hard to make houses” illustrate these problems. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, with several sentences beginning in lowercase or running together. Most sentences rely on simple patterns, and attempts at more complex structures are not controlled. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a complete, clear structure.
