Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is often considerate that constructing skyscrapers is the best way to accomodate more population in big cities. In my opinion this is a temporary solution, to address this rising issue, government should work to develop the neglected regions and take initiative to provide higher education, job oppurtunities and advance health care facilities.
Few people have an opinion that by constructing tall buildings will provide more residence to community because more younger generation is moving to metropolitan cities for higher education and better work opportunuities. They mostly prefer living alone, for this purpose studio appartments are best option. Such as in Dubai, Newyork, Shenghai But along with this, there will be an increase demand of basic necessities of life. There will be rise in rental charges for living. So thses measures are not enough to

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You give a discernible position: tall buildings may offer a temporary response, while developing neglected regions is a better long-term approach. You also begin to explain why apartments appeal to young people moving to cities for education and work. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: it does not fully explain whether apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes, and the alternative of regional development is asserted rather than supported with examples or detail. The final sentence is unfinished, leaving the point about rising rents and basic necessities incomplete. The response is also 115 words below the required minimum, which substantially limits the opportunity to develop your reasons. Extend both sides of your argument and support them with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening states your view, and the next paragraph introduces a reason people support apartment construction before raising possible drawbacks. Linking phrases such as “In my opinion,” “because,” and “along with this” show an effort to connect ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because several points are crowded into one paragraph, and the final thought stops at “So these measures are not enough to”. The examples of cities are inserted without explaining how they support the argument, while the shift from housing supply to regional development is not developed. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion, and make each paragraph’s relationship to the question explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “skyscrapers,” “metropolitan cities,” “studio apartments,” “rental charges,” and “health care facilities.” These choices show that you can discuss urban housing and services, and the main meaning is generally recoverable. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations reduce control: examples include “accomodate,” “oppurtunities,” “advance health care,” and “provide more residence to community.” Some wording is also vague, such as “these measures,” because the reference is not fully clear. Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, such as “accommodate a growing population,” “advanced healthcare,” and “provide more housing.” A broader set of precise terms for housing supply and regional investment would also help you explain your position.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, for example the opening sentence and the explanation beginning “because more younger generation is moving…”. However, control is inconsistent, and several errors make the relationships between ideas harder to understand. In “by constructing tall buildings will provide,” the introductory phrase has no clear grammatical subject; write “constructing tall buildings will provide” or “by constructing tall buildings, governments can provide.” There are also problems with articles, number, and agreement in “more younger generation,” “an increase demand,” and “there will be rise.” The final sentence is incomplete, and punctuation around the list of city examples is unclear. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check articles, plurals, and sentence endings.
