Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern ear and growing population people should start living in the apartment rather than houses and bungalow because they both occupied large number of space. The best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks. I strongly believed that to build flats instead of house it better option for community.
To begin with, in fast growing country people have to start leave in flats because they gives us chance to become socialising with our neighbour. Furthermore, the community which moved from rural area to urban area for them it is more convenient to live in apartment because the price of flat is too cheaper as compared with house or bungalow. For instance, if person who only come for better job opportunity for them is quite easier to pay rent and do some savings. In addition, flats provide sufficient water supply and LPG for cooking, whereas in bunglow people need to suffer from lack of water supply from government due to spcific timings of water.
Additionaly, in large cities to provide very people their individual home then they need to contruct tall building because in that case all over society member get their home. Similarly, large building not only provides sufficient home, but they gives us better opportunity of employment, education, medical facilities and lifestyle. There are few individual who do not have enough money to buy own home, due to that government should start scheme like lucky draw,so pupil can get their own home in lower amount.
In my opinion, in this fast growing population it is necessary to build apartment so all over communitites get their own home, Although government should provide scheme of flats in that they sell it in minimum price due to that people can shift to urban are for better facilities and lifestyle.
In conclusion, the best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment block so the large number of people can live at the same place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you strongly support building apartment blocks, and you give relevant reasons, including making better use of urban space, lower housing costs, and access to services. The example of workers moving to cities and needing affordable rent helps connect the argument to a real situation. However, the response only partly develops the question of whether tall blocks are the best way to provide enough homes. The points about socialising, water supply, and employment or medical facilities are asserted rather than explained, and the proposed lucky-draw scheme is not clearly linked to increasing housing supply. Develop fewer reasons with specific explanation or examples, and address possible limitations of high-rise housing to make the argument more complete. Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, a concluding opinion, and a final summary. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “In addition” help signal the sequence of points. However, progression is not always clear because several different ideas are grouped together, particularly in the second body paragraph, where housing supply, employment, education, medical facilities, and a government scheme appear without clear connections. Some transitions are mechanical, and “In my opinion” repeats the position already stated in the introduction. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, explain it before moving on, and use pronouns and linking phrases that make relationships between ideas explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “community,” “price,” “rent,” and “water supply,” so the reader can follow the general subject. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “fast growing” and “employment.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning unclear: “start leave in flats,” “the price of flat is too cheaper,” and “all over society member” are examples. Spelling errors such as “bunglow,” “spcific,” and “Additionaly” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural housing and urban-planning phrases, and check spelling and word forms carefully; precise, conventional wording will make your ideas easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “whereas,” and “if.” This shows an effort to express reasons and examples, but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “people have to start leave in flats because they gives us” has problems with verb forms and subject–verb agreement, while “if person who only come … for them is quite easier” is not a complete, well-formed conditional. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “the apartment” and “society member.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and one subordinate clause, then check agreement, articles, and verb forms before adding further detail.
