Student answer (Band 5.5)
The statement provides us information about the best approach to have enough homes in large urban areas through constructing high rise buildings.
Building large apartments can beneficial for both residents and for the authorities. It is the most appropriate approach to manage housing crisis in populus cities where we dont have enough space to build large homes I completly agree with this argument and give my reasons in favour of this topic
Firstly having residential flats with all the amenities under one roof have more benefits then the single homes which occupies more space.People dont have to travel to another places to buy groceries and houshold things
it is readily available in there which saves time and money.
Morever goverment also got benefits if they build such type of projects They dont have to waste large amount of agriculture land for the counstrution of societies. In this way the land remain preserved. The problem of giving electricity and gas connection to separate household also resolved.officials also got benefits from those type of schemes.
Morever with the rising demands of housing it is very difficult to afford a land in large cities where land cost much more then the construction . On the other hand flats likely to be much suited to the customers with affordable pricing and safety .
so in my conclusion the town managment should have allocated more resources and land to builders on cheap rates so that they build these type of infrastructure which resolve the problem of many individuals Because nowadays overpopulation is a very big concern in cities which are expanding rapidly. In this way we are completly able to resolve this issue.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you completely agree that tall apartment buildings are the best way to address housing shortages in large cities. You give relevant reasons, including saving space, making services more accessible, reducing pressure on agricultural land, and offering more affordable housing. These points address the task, but some are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that flats are safer and more affordable would be stronger with a specific comparison or example. The point about amenities is also not clearly tied to tall buildings, since services could be available near other types of housing too. Develop each main reason with a clear explanation or example, and briefly acknowledge a limitation before explaining why your position still stands.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an overall structure: an introduction, several supporting points, and a conclusion that restates your view. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “On the other hand” help signal the direction of the argument. However, paragraphing is not used consistently, and several ideas run together, particularly in the sections about government benefits and housing costs. Some links are mechanical or unclear: “In this way” does not always specify which preceding idea it refers to, and “On the other hand” introduces a supporting point rather than a clear contrast. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, use full stops to separate ideas, and make references and transitions more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “high rise buildings,” “housing crisis,” “agriculture land,” “affordable pricing,” and “overpopulation.” This is enough to communicate the main argument, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which limits precision. For instance, “populus cities” is not the appropriate expression, and “the land remain preserved” does not convey the intended idea naturally. Spelling errors such as “completly,” “goverment,” and “counstrution” also make the writing less polished. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common combinations such as “housing shortage,” “agricultural land,” and “construction of housing developments.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “where we dont have enough space” and a conditional idea about what officials would need to provide. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms sometimes make the argument harder to follow. For example, “Building large apartments can beneficial” needs a verb after “can,” while “having residential flats … have more benefits” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Several sentences are joined without appropriate punctuation, such as the opening body paragraph and the long sentence beginning “so in my conclusion.” Practise checking each sentence for a complete verb structure, agreement, and clear punctuation.
