Student answer (Band 5.5)
In big cities, it's a common issue that there is not enough homes or space available for shelters which can serve many of the families that they spent their time on the road. In my opinion, I disagree with the statement that in case of giving homes, there should be diiferent apartments in large areas where population is on the peak.
The main reason behind my decision is that if the government decided to construct tall and large apartments for the citizens instead of providing shelters or homes, there will be a huge problem for the local people to gave their land to the state so that they can build enough apartments. The people may lose their property and will be in much trouble. Secondly, if the families are big like 6 to 7 members will face various issues related to the space. Also, they have to pay monthly rent to the goverment.
Instead of constructing large buildings, give them land where they can choose their own what to do and when to build. Its their own choice. This will be a better option because giving freedom to their own people, the government will earn much respect and they should also support their local people in case of any dificulties they face. There should be a proper procedure for the property which makes the process more easy.
In conclusion, the state should focus on ease for their own people not to make more trouble for them because these peoples no matter from which group they belong, they work hard for living and makes the society more better and powerful.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you disagree with relying on tall apartment blocks, and you offer an alternative of giving people land. You also provide reasons, including possible loss of property, difficulties for larger families, and rent costs. However, the response only partially develops the task. It focuses mainly on disadvantages of apartments and does not explain whether tall blocks could still be useful or compare their ability to house many people with your alternative. Some claims, such as the government needing residents to give up their land, are not clearly connected to how housing would be provided. Develop each reason with a specific explanation or example, and make your position on the proposed solution more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons and an alternative, and a conclusion restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “The main reason,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the structure. However, connections between some ideas are not always clear. For example, the move from land acquisition to the needs of large families is abrupt, and “Instead of constructing large buildings, give them land” does not clearly identify who should receive the land or how this would solve the housing shortage. Some linking is also mechanical. Use clearer topic sentences and explain the relationship between each supporting point and your central argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “apartments,” “citizens,” “property,” “monthly rent,” and “procedure.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For instance, “homes or space available for shelters” is an awkward way to describe a housing shortage, while “population is on the peak” is not a natural expression. There are also spelling errors such as “diiferent,” “goverment,” and “dificulties.” Aim to learn common housing-related phrases and check spelling carefully; more precise vocabulary would make your argument easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if the government decided to construct…” and a concluding clause beginning “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “there is not enough homes,” “the people…will be in much trouble,” and “these peoples…they work hard… and makes.” The sentence beginning “Secondly, if the families are big…” is also incomplete because it lacks a main clause. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and ensure every conditional clause is followed by a complete main clause. Shorter, accurate sentences would improve clarity.
