Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this current situaion findind enough homes in the large cities is become more difficult. However, there is a solution for this problem is to build talll apartment block in the cities which is usefull nowadays. In this essay, I will discuss both views about this statement.

Firstly, I agree with the setence that they provides enough homes in large cities is to build tall aparments blocks which was a great idea, in that space of personal homes(ternaments) they can build education system like school, universities, library and many more in place of homes. Secondly, apartments have more amenities then personal home in large cities. For instance, a good aparment have a club house, swimming pool, garden area, walking area and many more amenities for the people who lives in the apartment. Although, they can socialize more rather than the people who lives in homes for apartments meeting or any other event meetings they meet regularly.

Now, I disagree with the statement that best way to provide homes in big cities is tall apartments. In some cities, the cost of living in house is less in compare to apartment because of the value of place you chose to live. For instance, a good apartment cost more maintance because of more amenities which you don't use because of the busy schedule or your daily job routing you have to pay it every month whether you using the amenities or not. However, sometimes house is more beneficial than apartments because it gaves you more privacy, more living space of living than apartments. For Instance, we don't want to walk much to go for parking area, also we dind't take any permissions, we can whatever we want in our house.

Overall, I stand for both views because apartments became great source of living also, have great amenities than home. However, home have more living space than apartment and have less living cost than apartments

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides of the question and give relevant reasons, including the amenities and social opportunities of apartments, as well as the privacy and space offered by houses. However, your position is not fully clear: the introduction says you will discuss “both views,” and the conclusion says you “stand for both views,” without explaining whether you agree that tall blocks are the best solution overall. Some points are also under-developed. For example, the idea that apartment blocks free space for schools and libraries needs a clearer explanation of how this helps provide enough homes. State your overall view directly and support each main reason with a specific, well-explained example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two viewpoints, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Now,” and “Overall” help signal the stages of your argument. However, progression is sometimes difficult to follow because the first body paragraph combines several ideas—land use, amenities, and socialising—without clearly linking them. Some connections are also awkward or unclear, such as “in that space of personal homes… they can build education system.” The conclusion repeats the two sides rather than resolving the discussion. Organise each body paragraph around one central point, use clearer links between explanation and example, and make the final paragraph state your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “amenities,” “privacy,” “living space,” and “cost of living,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “personal homes(ternaments),” “education system like school,” and “daily job routing.” There is also repetition of “apartments,” “home,” and “more,” where more precise alternatives would improve clarity. Aim to use accurate phrases for housing and urban planning, and check spelling carefully. For instance, describe the facilities in an apartment complex as shared amenities, and explain more precisely whether you mean maintenance fees or the cost of the property.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “although,” and “which.” However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to follow. For example, “findind enough homes… is become more difficult” has problems with verb form, while “a good aparment have” has subject–verb agreement errors. The sentence beginning “For Instance, we don't want to walk much…” also joins several ideas without clear grammatical boundaries. Articles, plurals, and sentence punctuation are inconsistent. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. Check that each subject matches its verb and that long sentences are divided or punctuated clearly.
