Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many metropolises, housing shortage has become a critical concern. It is often argued that constrcting a sky scraper is the best way to provide enough homes.I am compltey agree with this view that vertical houses saves land and its beneficial for the ecosystem.
On of the reason,I strongly agree that high rise apartment is the most effective soultions because they cover less land. For instance in enormous cities population gradually increased day by day if every family have a separate house its cover a huge land .For example if five familes have a separate house they cover a more land and its effects environment such as individuals cutting a tree and make houses. As a result vertical houses is a better solution for provide a house.
Furthermore apartment blocks are more affordable and provide better facilities. The construction cost share and divide all the members .And they are also nomouris facilities. For instance if individuals live in the skyscrapers they have no chnace of robbery . Furthermore aslo several facalites are available for living in the vertical houses such as parking , security etc.So thats why its ber fir the middle class citizen's
In conclusion I strongly agree that building high rise apartments is the best way to provide home in the metropolises. Its covers less land and provide better facilities for the members of society. Moreover vertical houses are better for the environment because its take less place and covers a tiny area. Therefore high rise buildings is the most practical solution for the urban houses

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I am completely agree with this view”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons: tall buildings use less land, may reduce pressure on green areas, and can offer shared facilities. The example about separate houses taking up more land helps explain the first point. However, some support is less fully developed: the claim that apartment residents have “no chance of robbery” is too absolute and is not explained, while affordability is asserted rather than illustrated. To strengthen the response, explain how shared construction costs make homes more affordable and qualify claims about security. This would make the reasoning more convincing and ensure each main idea is clearly supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with “Furthermore” repeated and several ideas joined by full stops or “and” without clear relationships. In the second body paragraph, affordability, facilities, and security are introduced together, so the progression is difficult to follow. Some references, such as “they” and “its,” are also unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, then explain and exemplify it, and use pronouns only when their reference is unmistakable.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “metropolises,” “housing shortage,” “high-rise apartments,” “construction cost,” and “environment.” These choices show an attempt to discuss urban housing beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “nomouris facilities,” “chnace,” and “ber fir.” Some collocations are also unnatural, including “provide a house” and “cover a huge land.” Aim to learn accurate phrases as complete units, such as “provide housing,” “occupy less land,” and “shared facilities.” Careful proofreading for spelling and choosing precise words would make your ideas clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if every family have a separate house.” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, and the main argument can generally be followed. However, errors in agreement, articles, sentence boundaries, and verb forms occur across the response. For example, “vertical houses saves land” needs subject–verb agreement, while “if every family have” requires a matching verb form. Several sentences are joined with full stops in awkward places, and the opening has missing spaces after punctuation. Practise building accurate complex sentences with “if” and “because,” and check singular/plural agreement and sentence boundaries. Greater control of these patterns would make the argument easier to read.
