Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's world, many people believe that building large apartment blocks is the best way to accomodate more people in big cities, and I completely agree with the statement because it can provide shelter to more people while consuming less space and more individuals can get opportunity to live in good cities.
To begin with, building a tall apartment blocks can give home to more people, and whole apartment building can be constructed at place which is needed for just one big house or villa in which more quantity of individuals can be accomodated in less space. For instance, galaxy heights are the apartments in lahore in which number of people lives and their is a villa in front of the apartment where just one family lives and that house consume more space than the apartment but more population is in apartments, So more apartments should be constructed instead of individual houses.
Moreover, many of the population including children and adults faces difficulties in moving from countryside to large cities for their better education, career opportunities and future due to accomodation problem as houses in big cities are very expensive to build or buy. Due to this they instead choose to stay at their village and not moving to cities, So if their will be more apartments which will be cost effeciently and cheap then more individuals can move from countryside and nation will be more developed.
In conclusion, it is evident that building more apartments in the best way to provide enough homes in cities rather than building housing societies and colonies as apartments are more reliable and needs less space with more population can be accomodated.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you completely agree that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes, and the conclusion restates this view. You give relevant reasons, especially that apartments house more people on less land and may make city living more accessible to people moving from rural areas. The Lahore comparison also offers a concrete example. However, the second reason is less fully explained: the link between cheaper apartments and national development is asserted rather than supported, and the response does not examine possible limitations or explain why this is the best approach compared with other housing options in depth. Develop each main point with clearer explanation and specific supporting detail to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from efficient land use to affordability and access to city opportunities. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal this progression. At times, however, cohesion feels mechanical, and some sentences contain several ideas joined together, making the relationships less clear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from the space needed for a villa to the number of residents in apartments and then to a recommendation, all in one long sentence. Break such sentences into clearer steps and use pronouns or linking expressions with precise references; this would make the argument easier to follow without changing its overall organisation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of housing and urban-development vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “accommodation problem,” “career opportunities” and “housing societies.” These choices make your main ideas understandable, and you attempt more specific language when describing the contrast between apartments and a villa. However, several word-choice and collocation problems reduce precision, such as “give home to more people,” “more quantity of individuals,” and “cost effeciently and cheap.” There are also spelling and capitalization slips, including “accomodate,” “lahore” and “effeciently.” Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; more precise phrasing will help you express the same ideas with greater fluency.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which” and “as,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals and sentence construction. For example, “many of the population … faces” has an agreement problem, while “a tall apartment blocks” combines an incorrect article with a plural noun. In “their is a villa,” the subject and verb form do not agree, and several long sentences are joined with commas where clearer sentence boundaries are needed. Practise checking each clause for a clear subject and correctly matched verb, and use shorter sentences when several points are being explained.
