Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, many large cities face a shortage of housing because their populations are increase. Some people believe the way provide enough homes to build tall apartment blocks. i agree with thi statement because buildings can save space and provide homes for many people.
Firstly, apartment buildings can be a large number of families in a small area of land.in big cities many lands are expensive and limited. The buildings upward is a practical solution to the housing problem.
For example,A single apartment block can provide hundreds homes of people, the same area a few houses. This can help reduce the shortage of housing and make better use of available land.
Secondly, apartment blocks can provide important facilities. Many modern buildings are located near public transport ,schools, shopping malls and hospitals .This allows residents to save time and travel more easily. And the other thing many peoples cannot manage rental houses so they but a apratment one portion and they spent theie life easily .i think this is enough homes in large cities they want to build more than more apartments for peoples they spent their life and secure their future .
its my opinion is the good thing for the peoples government build a apatments and have a enough rent so its suitable for people who can afforts.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a clear position in favour of tall apartment blocks and give two relevant reasons: they use limited urban land efficiently and can be close to services and transport. The example that one block can house hundreds of people helps illustrate the first point. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these ideas are brief and the second reason is not clearly connected to providing enough homes. The comments about buying a portion and securing the future are difficult to interpret, and there is little explanation of why this approach is the best one compared with alternatives. The response is also 38 words below the required minimum. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a concluding opinion. These markers help readers identify the main points. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and several ideas are joined without clear relationships. For example, the discussion of nearby facilities shifts abruptly to renting or buying apartments, while the final paragraph repeats the opinion rather than drawing the argument together. Some sentence boundaries and spacing also make the flow difficult to follow. Organise each body paragraph around one reason, then explain it and give an example; use linking phrases to show how each sentence relates, rather than relying mainly on “Firstly” and “Secondly.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses relevant topic vocabulary, including “shortage of housing,” “apartment blocks,” “public transport,” and “available land,” so the main subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make meaning unclear, such as “the buildings upward,” “a few houses,” and “they but a apratment one portion.” Spelling errors such as “thi,” “apratment,” and “afforts” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For instance, describe buildings as being constructed vertically, and say that a block can accommodate hundreds of residents. Avoid repeating broad terms such as “people” and “homes” when a more specific expression would clarify your point.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some sentence variety, including a reason-and-result structure in “This can help reduce the shortage of housing” and a sentence beginning “because.” However, the range is limited, and frequent errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the message difficult to understand. Examples include “their populations are increase,” “the way provide enough homes to build,” and “A single apartment block can provide hundreds homes of people.” Several run-on or incomplete sentences also appear, particularly in the final section. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check that every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and review articles, plural forms, and sentence-ending punctuation.
