Student answer (Band 6.0)
The better way to provide sufficient homes in a much bigger cities is to build tall apartments. In my opinion, I strongly agree that building tall flats on cities that are highly urbanized is significant to ensure that everyone in the area will have a comfortable shelter to live.
There are several reasons why building high level infrastructures in a certain area will provide enough household for the people in large cities. First, it can accomodate many family members, because some of them are moving to city for education, so, families are considering a home that are more comfortable to stay with their loved ones. For example, in Manila, there are condominiums that are being built near the school universities. In this way, the students have the option to rent a place and avoid heavy traffic. Second, there are professionals who wants to live near the city for work purposes, so some of them are willing to pay for apartment rather than commuting back home. Third, there are a lot of opportunities in large cities, so, because of job opportunities, people are moving out from provinces. Thus, the demand for a place near the city also increases. Therefore, having high-rise buildings in a bustling city can significantly provide enough place to stay for a lot of job seekers.
Furthermore, there are advantages living in high rise apartments when living in a much larger city. To start, tall buildings are equipped with security cameras, so people will no longer worry about their safety. For example, many tall aparments in Makati, Philippines provide a better way of securing their people and ensuring enough water supply for a better living experience. Also, aside from its impact in providing a comfortable place, building these apartments can also be a space saving move for a city. A residential area such as subdivision take up a much larger space, so it is better to have a tall building with sufficient space for its people to inhabitate.
In conclusion, there are several reasons why building high-rise infrastructures in a larger city can significantly provide a suitable homes for its people. Moreover, there are also advantages living in these buildings, to promote a cost effective and better living experience for those in the working sector.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that high-rise housing can meet demand in large cities, and the conclusion returns to this view. You address the central issue with relevant points about students and workers moving to cities, the demand for homes, and the space-saving potential of apartment blocks. The Manila and Makati examples also help make the discussion concrete. This meets the task well, but some points are more fully explained than others. For instance, the security and water-supply benefits are introduced without showing how they make tall blocks the best way to provide enough homes. Develop the comparison with alternatives, such as low-rise housing, and explain the limits or conditions of your position to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Ideas generally progress from reasons for urban housing demand to benefits of high-rise living, and signposts such as “First,” “Second,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” make the sequence easy to follow. This provides coherent organisation, though some linking is mechanical and connections between ideas are occasionally unclear. In the first body paragraph, the points about students, professionals, and people seeking job opportunities overlap, so grouping them under one explanation of urban migration would improve progression. Phrases such as “so, because of job opportunities” repeat the same link, while “Moreover” in the conclusion adds little to the summary. Use more varied transitions and clearer references between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “high-rise buildings,” “condominiums,” “heavy traffic,” “security cameras,” and “residential area.” These choices make the subject clear, and you attempt some less common expressions such as “bustling city” and “cost effective.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which limits precision: “high level infrastructures” is not a natural way to describe apartment blocks, and “household” does not mean homes in this context. There are also spelling errors, including “accomodate” and “aparments,” and “inhabitate” is an unsuitable form here. Aim for more precise housing terms and check spelling and collocations; this will make your ideas sound more natural without changing their meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “because,” “so,” and “when,” and most of your meaning remains understandable. However, errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence construction recur. For example, “a much bigger cities” has a number mismatch, “some of them are moving to city” needs an article, and “professionals who wants” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. In “families are considering a home that are more comfortable,” the relative clause does not agree with “home.” Some sentences also become awkward when several clauses are joined with “so.” Review agreement and article use, and divide long sentences where needed. More consistent accuracy in these patterns would strengthen the range of structures you already attempt.
