Student answer (Band 5.5)
As world population are increasing ,consequently urbanization are becoming moreand more popular among the people of middle and low income. Some expert opines that the best and the most effective way to render adequate shelters to the extended people in cities is to construct tall building. While there is some negative environmental effects, I strongly agree that tall a[partment blocks can sure solve the accommodation problem in the urban areas.
First of all, Socio economic conditions of the world compell the middle income people for seeking secure jobs in order to earn their livlihood. Which is why people are now inclining to the city life where jobs are more available than the rural areas. According to tha Bangladesh Bereau of Statistics 10 to 15 % people are shifting from village to citis every year in order to chanfe their fate that causes the high population density in the city areas. So modern real state construction can be remedy to the habitat crisis in the city life.
Secondly, healthcare and education facilities in the city life are unmatched which appeals the people to shift themselves to the city life. Every year in the Universities and other urban educational instituitions takes a good number of students from rural areas. Apartment blocks can facilitate the number of people without harming the extra land. Moreover the facilities in the housing system of apartments are also very lucrative with some modern facilities like gym, indoor sports centre, medication centre and other benifiiciary schems. As apartments need huge energy consumptions to regulate it causes some environmental drawbacks.
In the conclusion tall apartment blocks is really a blessing to the city people as it help the people in peacful living in city life within the constraints of land nonetheless it herms the environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that tall apartment blocks can help address urban housing shortages. You give relevant reasons, including migration to cities for work and access to education and healthcare, and you acknowledge an environmental drawback. However, the response addresses the proposal more fully in some places than others. The migration statistics support the growth of urban populations, but the link between this trend and why high-rise construction is the best solution could be explained more directly. Likewise, the list of apartment amenities does not show as clearly how these buildings provide enough homes. Develop the environmental counterpoint and explain why building upwards is preferable to alternatives such as expanding suburbs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from employment-related migration to education and healthcare is generally logical, and signposts such as “First of all,” “Secondly” and “In the conclusion” help readers follow the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The sentence beginning “Which is why” is separated from the preceding idea, and “So modern real state construction can be remedy” does not clearly connect the evidence to the specific case for tall blocks. The second body paragraph also moves from education to apartment amenities and then environmental costs without fully developing the links. Use clearer referencing and transitions to show how each point supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “population density,” “habitat crisis,” “environmental drawbacks” and “constraints of land.” These choices show an effort to discuss urban housing beyond basic terms. However, inaccurate spelling and word choice sometimes reduce precision: “livlihood,” “citis,” “chanfe,” “real state,” and “benifiiciary” make parts of the argument less polished. Some collocations are also unnatural, such as “render adequate shelters to the extended people” and “people are now inclining to the city life.” Choose more conventional expressions, for example, “provide sufficient housing for a growing urban population” and “people are increasingly moving to cities.” Check spelling carefully and use vocabulary precisely rather than relying on ambitious but unclear phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession in “While there is some negative environmental effects” and a reason clause beginning “in order to.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “population are increasing” and “urbanization are becoming”; the latter should take a singular verb. The fragment “Which is why people are now…” should be joined to the previous sentence or rewritten as a complete sentence. Articles and plurals also need attention, as in “construct tall building” and “can be remedy.” In the conclusion, “blocks is” and “it help” show agreement problems. Practise checking sentence boundaries, agreement and article use while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
