Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a position at the start—“i agree this statement”—and give reasons related to apartment living, including fire safety, access for older residents, children’s safety, sunlight and privacy. These points are relevant to the topic, but the response does not clearly explain why tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes in large cities. Much of the discussion focuses on disadvantages of apartments and the benefits of houses, so the argument does not consistently support your stated agreement. Several ideas, such as the delivery example and your personal experience, are difficult to understand or are not explained with a specific example. Develop a clear line of reasoning about housing supply and explain how each point supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has some paragraph breaks and a recognisable movement from disadvantages to advantages, which gives it a basic structure. However, the ideas are not arranged in a clear, logical progression: the opening supports apartment blocks, while most of the body argues against them, and the conclusion does not resolve this contradiction. Linking phrases such as “the another disvantage” and “there are lot of advantage” signal new points, but they do not show how those points connect or build an argument. Some sentences combine several unrelated concerns, making the relationships between ideas hard to follow. Organise the essay around a consistent position, use one paragraph for each main reason, and connect examples directly to the point they illustrate.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to housing and city life, including “emergency,” “elder citizen,” “sunlight,” “privacy” and “customize your home.” This shows some awareness of the topic, but the range is basic and repeated, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make several points difficult to understand. Examples include “tall buliding,” “fire suitutaion,” “the lifes is not working” and “trace area”; the intended meanings are unclear in places. Some phrases also do not fit naturally, such as “serve” for how older residents manage access and “many language or product” for a delivery worker’s load. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations so readers can understand your intended meaning without guessing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example, “There are some reason if we live in tall buliding first drawback…” However, sentence structures are often incomplete or difficult to follow, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries occur throughout. In “if any emergency occur,” the verb does not agree with its subject; “you are not save the people lives” also has an incorrect verb form and unclear sentence structure. The final paragraph includes fragments such as “you get sunlight and weather condition.” These problems frequently obscure the relationships between ideas. Practise writing complete subject–verb sentences first, then add one clear subordinate clause at a time, checking agreement, articles and punctuation.
