Student answer (Band 5.5)
The significant option to provide the greater number of homes to individuals in big cities is to construct the tall apartment flats. The number of people increase in day by day due to the growing opportunities of employment in big cities. These individulas need cheap accomodation because they have low-income jobs. Therefore, these tall apartment blocks cover small space and provide the greater number of accomodation within minimum range of money. On the other hand, these mini homes may be more congested. Which may distrub the privacy of people. I believe that tall apartment flats prevent the problem of accomodation and use the space more efficiently.
One of the main advantages of contructing tall apartment flats in commercial area's of big cities could be providing more effcient use of scarce land. In commercial areas, there are few space available for accomodation on high rents so these tall blocks are suitable option for thoes who is earned low-income or have minimum financial resources. Another positive aspect of these flats are the mostly situated in middle of the city, easy to get transportation facilities, more accessable grocery stores and hospitals.
Despite this, the greater number of blocks in one building can create congestion and sometimes overcrowding can cause conflicts among individuals. people may not enjoy the natural envirnment like big gardens outside home can cause of relaxation and meditiation but in these apartment people cannot have enough space to maintain their own natural habitats or gardens.
In conclusion, the large houses on countrysides may provide relaxation and cailm envirnemnt but tall building with multiple blocks in big cities to meet the growing needs of accomodation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the question and give a clear overall view in favour of tall apartment blocks, especially in the opening and conclusion. Relevant reasons include making efficient use of scarce urban land, offering accommodation at lower cost, and providing access to transport, shops, and hospitals. You also acknowledge disadvantages such as congestion and limited gardens, so the response considers both sides. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the link between apartment blocks and affordability needs more detail, and the concerns about privacy and natural space are not developed with a specific example. The conclusion also introduces countryside houses without clearly comparing them to the proposed solution. Develop fewer points more fully and make the extent of your agreement explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, paragraphs presenting benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion. Ideas generally progress from the need for housing to advantages and then disadvantages. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand,” “Despite this,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “Which may disturb the privacy of people” is a sentence fragment that does not connect smoothly to the preceding point, while the final sentence does not clearly complete its contrast. References such as “these mini homes” and “these flats” could also be more precise. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s main point, then connect supporting explanations directly to it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of housing and city vocabulary, including “scarce land,” “low-income,” “overcrowding,” “transportation facilities,” and “natural environment.” These choices show an attempt to discuss the topic beyond basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “greater number of accommodation,” “minimum range of money,” and “natural habitats” do not express the intended ideas precisely. There are also repeated spelling errors, including “accomodation,” “effcient,” and “envirnment.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “a larger number of homes,” “at an affordable cost,” and “green space,” and proofread carefully for spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including explanations with “because” and contrast introduced by “Despite this.” The main ideas are usually understandable, but errors in sentence construction and agreement recur. For example, “The number of people increase” needs subject–verb agreement, and “Which may disturb the privacy of people” is an incomplete sentence. In “there are few space available,” the noun and verb pattern is not controlled, while “the greater number of blocks … can create” is followed by an awkwardly constructed clause. The conclusion also lacks a complete, clearly formed comparison. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb, and review agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation when joining clauses.
