Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes, I partially agree with the best way to provide comfortable homes in big cities is to build apartment blocks.
Firstly the major issues in large cities are lot of population dues to increasing demand of jobs multiple peopels are moving large cities. So they need their primary sources like water, food and home. Due to unknown cities and peoples they find some corner in that cities and settle their small homes. And due to that reason the garbage and pollution increase. Privacy also the major issue of the families who came in large cities for job purpose.
It is often argued that government or the companies should provide the homes and its best way to give enough space in large cities is to build tall apartment block. So the pollution and the public places will be safe after maximum cities are developed in that way. Cause when I went for my bachelors in pune i saw maximum peoples have their own home and not giving to the small rooms for students. Due to that reason i think building a tall apartment blocks is one of the suiltable way to leaves and reduce use of too much space. And also its gives too much privacy and confidentiality to families who are living in apartment.
In conclusion, I believe that both sides have valid points, but the side of tall apartment is always weighted cause maximum peoples are facing the home issue after moving to large cities. And it is the best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartments blocks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You take a position by saying you “partially agree,” and you give relevant reasons, including pressure on housing and the potential to use space more efficiently. However, the response does not fully explain what your partial agreement means: the opposing side is mentioned only in the conclusion, without a developed reason or example. The Pune experience is relevant, but the point about people not renting rooms to students is not clearly connected to why tall blocks are the best solution. The response contains 243 words, so it is 7 words below the 250-word minimum; the 22 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop both sides of your position and explain each example more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and sequencing words such as “Firstly” and “In conclusion” help signal stages. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because several ideas are introduced without clear links. For example, the discussion moves from population growth to garbage, pollution and privacy, but does not explain how these points support the argument for apartment blocks. “It is often argued” also introduces a claim without identifying a contrasting view. Some linking phrases, including “Due to that reason,” are repeated, making cohesion mechanical. Group related points together and use clear topic sentences, then connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “population,” “pollution,” “privacy” and “apartment blocks,” so the reader can identify the subject of the essay. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “lot of population dues to increasing demand of jobs,” “unknown cities and peoples,” and “one of the suiltable way to leaves.” Spelling errors such as “peopels” and “suiltable” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise phrases such as “rapid population growth,” “people moving to cities for work,” and “a suitable way to accommodate residents.” Check spelling and word forms when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentence forms, for example, “Cause when I went for my bachelors in pune i saw maximum peoples have their own home,” but these attempts are often difficult to understand because clauses are not joined or formed accurately. There are frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and plurals: “the major issues … are lot of population,” “a tall apartment blocks,” and “it’s gives” are examples. Some sentences are fragments or lack a clear grammatical connection, such as “Privacy also the major issue of the families.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise building clear simple sentences first, then combine them with accurate conjunctions; check subject–verb agreement and singular/plural forms.
