Student answer (Band 5.0)
Building tall residential buildings is consider to be the best practive to provide subsiquent homes in major cities. The major issue that people face in these cities is not having enough homes available, that creates space for people migrating from other parts of the country for better opportunities. and I believe this can be a positive development as when the population increases and infrastructure of the city remain same it can create problems like maintaining the city clean and less conjusted residential areas.
To the manage the large infrastructure it is important that the plans evolve with time and needs. And building tall residential apartment for providing enough homes can be beneficial for people and for the city infrastructure as well. For example, When one apartment has enough space of 20 families rather 20 different homes that cover bigger amount of land. This also includes maintainace, maintaining one tall apartment would be more easier for the city's goverment than to maintain and provides for 20 homes. In this way the city's capacity would extend on much higher level and it can welcome more people from other parts of the country.
In conclusion, tall residential buildings build in big cities is consider to be a smart way to deal with improving infrastructure, providing enough home and maintaining it better. these buildings can create land space and more and more can call these cities home.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a generally clear position in favour of tall apartment buildings and give relevant reasons: they can house more families on less land and may be easier for city authorities to maintain. The example comparing one apartment with 20 separate homes helps explain your main point. However, the response addresses the issue only partially: it does not consider any disadvantages or explain why high-rise construction is the best approach compared with alternatives. Some claims, such as that it will help keep the city clean, are introduced but not developed. The response is also 17 words below the required minimum, leaving limited space to extend your reasoning. Develop each reason with a specific explanation or example and make your degree of agreement explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a body paragraph and a conclusion, and the main ideas generally follow a sensible order. Linking expressions such as “For example” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the opening moves from housing shortages to migration and then to cleanliness and congestion without showing the links between these points. Some transitions, including the sentence beginning “And building tall residential apartment,” feel mechanical, while “This also includes” does not clearly identify what “this” refers to. Organise the body around one main reason at a time, and use clearer references and transitions to show how each point supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “infrastructure,” “population,” “residential buildings” and “capacity,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts of the response less clear, such as “practive,” “subsiquent,” “conjusted” and “maintainace.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “provide enough homes” repeated without variation and “extend on much higher level.” Aim to use a wider set of accurate housing and urban-planning terms, and check spelling and common word partnerships. More precise choices would make your argument easier to follow and sound more natural without requiring unnecessarily complex vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “when the population increases … it can create problems,” but complex sentences are often faulty and errors occur frequently. For example, “is consider” lacks the correct participle, “infrastructure … remain” has subject–verb disagreement, and “To the manage” has an incorrect construction. Sentence boundaries and capitalisation are also inconsistent, as in the lowercase “and” after a full stop and “these” at the start of the conclusion. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms and article use, then build longer sentences from correctly controlled clauses and proofread punctuation.
