Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's growing world poplution apartments are essential part of the housing model. These apartments are considered as one of the best ways to give people houses in big cities. I believe that apartments help alot in providing shelter in urban centres.
The metropolitan areas have a tall buildings with two, three or more rooms apartment. People from education and work sectors are the most potential customers, as students from another city or international scholars come to study in large cities. Also the working community rents or buy flats in order to get as much closer to their employment place. These housing units assist individuals to save their time and money while have a quality living area.
Secondly, the reduction in urbanization provides us with more area to build gardens, parks or anyother environment friendly spot. Parents take their kids to such places of nature and greenry, in addition themselves also feel much calm and relaxed in those locations. Futhermore, families which have two or three members see such accomodations more valuable than buying an entire house because there required space is less. Public of the rural areas settle in these kind of houses and see it as a privilage compared to a full house.
In conclusion, due to growing demand of homes the apartments are seen as a good exchange for money. As the land is usually covered in big cities the only way to meet the needs of housing society is to construct tall building with numerous apartment blocks. Students workers, and tourists look these as worth paying because of all the facilities from water to internet being available there without any hustle or bustle to go anywhere. Such homes prove a better alternative to the local houses out there in our societies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is broadly clear: you support tall apartment buildings as a way to provide housing in cities, and you give relevant reasons, including proximity to work and study, efficient use of land, and access to shared green spaces. However, the response only partly develops the question of whether this is the best way. The discussion of parks and the benefits for small families is not clearly explained, and the claim that urbanisation is reduced by apartments is unclear. The conclusion repeats the main view but adds tourists and facilities without developing their relevance. To strengthen the response, explain how high-rise construction accommodates more people than alternatives and briefly consider a limitation or competing approach.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally remain related to urban housing. Basic signposting such as “Secondly,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from students and workers to saving time and money without clearly showing how each point supports the central claim. The link between apartment construction and “the reduction in urbanization” is also difficult to follow. Some connections feel mechanical, and the conclusion introduces new groups and facilities rather than drawing together the reasons already discussed. Use clearer topic sentences and explain the relationship between each example and your argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “metropolitan areas,” “employment,” “housing units,” and “facilities,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “environment friendly” and “privilage,” but inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. Examples include “poplution” for population, “greenry,” “accomodations,” and “hustle or bustle.” Some combinations are unnatural, such as “a good exchange for money” and “the most potential customers.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For instance, describe apartments as “cost-effective housing” and residents as “prospective tenants,” rather than translating phrases directly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “as students from another city…” and a relative clause beginning “families which have two or three members.” However, errors in articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some sentences awkward or unclear. Examples include “apartments are essential part,” “The metropolitan areas have a tall buildings,” and “the only way … is to construct tall building.” The phrase “while have a quality living area” lacks a correctly formed subject and verb, while “because there required space is less” has an incorrect possessive and structure. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb, then review articles, singular/plural agreement and possessives.
