Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is said that the best way to allocate considerable number of houses in big cities is to construct tall residential towers. I agree with this statement because of the higher population in comparison to towns as well as to secure an affordable place to live comfortably, without having the burden of heavy rent.

The population density of metrocities is more than that of any other cities. People strive to live in secure place. Therefore, the government's policies permit to construct tall buildings for better accomodation. For instance, someone who works as an engineer in Mumbai and wishes to search for safe house alternatives due to surging crime rates. The crime is linked to overpopulation as one can understand some individuals are obliged to do so by mastermind. At the time, those tall buildings fulfills the purpose of one's desire to live confidently and securely.

Secondly, the rental fares is minimum due to fact that if many number of people have the possibility to live on a small part of land. Moreover, the lands are expensive in cities due to large population. Thus, median wager can easily accomodate to pay monthly charges. For example, someone who works as a sales assistant in Hyderabad, where monthly rent is approximately ten thousands rupees for shared apartment. A person with that job profile whose monthly income is just fifteen thousands rupees can only left with bare amount of money. In contrast, tall buildings rools can be accessible with just five thousand rupees in a shared room. That's why i contend that it is best possible way.

To conclude, the housing facility in megacities can be smoothly available to medium class person in the best order by living in a big building's room.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that tall residential buildings are the best way to provide housing in large cities. You give two relevant reasons—high urban population density and the possibility of lower housing costs—and support them with examples from Mumbai and Hyderabad. This addresses the task, but the development is uneven. The link between tall buildings and reduced crime in the Mumbai example is unclear, and the Hyderabad rent comparison needs clearer explanation of how apartment blocks make housing more affordable. The conclusion restates your view but does not add a developed final insight. To strengthen the response, explain the cause-and-effect behind each reason and make the examples directly demonstrate why high-rise construction is the best solution.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally follow a sensible order, and signposts such as “Secondly,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the main points. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. In the first body paragraph, the move from population density to crime and then to secure housing is difficult to follow; the relationship between these ideas needs to be made explicit. The rent example also shifts between figures without a clear comparison. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, then connect each example directly to that claim. Clearer referencing and transitions would make the overall progression more consistent.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “population density,” “residential towers,” “affordable,” and “monthly rent.” However, several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts of the response difficult to interpret, such as “allocate considerable number of houses,” “rental fares,” “median wager,” and “tall buildings rools.” There are also spelling errors, including “accomodation” and “accomodate.” These issues show that you are reaching for less common vocabulary, but control of collocation, word form and spelling is not yet consistent. Prefer precise, familiar expressions when unsure, and check that each word fits its context. For example, describe the number of homes as “housing supply” and refer to “average earners” rather than “median wager.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including a conditional-style example and clauses introduced by “because” and “where.” Some sentences communicate the main point clearly, but errors in agreement, articles and sentence construction recur. For example, “the rental fares is minimum” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “those tall buildings fulfills” also has incorrect agreement. The sentence beginning “A person with that job profile whose monthly income…” is incomplete in its construction, and “can only left” uses an incorrect verb form. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to understand. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and complete sentences before adding more complex clauses, then proofread for agreement and verb forms.
