Student answer (Band 5.5)

This is the better approach for the lot of homes in big cities to build a tall blocks apartments. This easy give the information about the real problems in big city.

I am strongly agree this statement because its covered a specific space where built building and all the facilities give in one blocks .

In larg cities there are not a lot of area where develop a large homes so people prefer live in a blocks apartments. For example an Lahore is popular city for job purpose people come from different cities they all are not build there own homes separate, they think its a lot of money waist because they lived only job purpose. So they prefer for living in tall blocks apartments.

Secondly the main reason for living in building blocks its near the office location and all facilities provise in one blocks all the shops are near and shopping mall neare the apartment so people buy any thing from this. One of the major benefits hospital facility also in same blocks where we go for routine check up . Playground also provide in single blocks wher ouer children playing different games and everyone know other person no stranger in the blocks.

In conclusion, This is best way to build a homes in large cities in blocks apartments its covered little space and a lot of homes. All the facilities give im single block

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear position, stating that you strongly agree, and your reasons—limited land in large cities and the convenience of nearby services—are relevant to the question. The Lahore example also helps illustrate why some residents choose apartments. However, the response addresses the task only partially because the reasons are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported in detail. For instance, you mention shops, hospitals and playgrounds in one block, but do not explain how these features make tall apartment blocks the best way to provide enough homes compared with alternatives. The response is also 16 words below the required minimum. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or specific example, and briefly acknowledge any limitation of high-rise housing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas are generally grouped by topic, and transitions such as “For example,” “Secondly” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and the linking can feel mechanical. The second body paragraph moves quickly from offices to shops, hospitals and playgrounds without showing how each point connects to the central claim. Some references, such as “this” and “its,” are also unclear. Use topic sentences that state one main point, then explain and illustrate it before moving on; clearer sentence boundaries and more precise referencing would make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a limited but relevant set of vocabulary to discuss housing and city life, including “tall blocks apartments,” “facilities,” “office location” and “playground.” These terms make your general meaning understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the reader work to interpret your meaning. For example, “the lot of homes” and “a lot of area” do not express the intended ideas naturally, while “money waist” appears to mean that residents would waste money. Spelling errors such as “larg,” “provise” and “neare” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range around housing density, affordability and access to services, and check spelling and common word combinations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall message can usually be understood. However, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur frequently, including in basic sentence patterns. Examples include “I am strongly agree,” “people prefer live,” and “all the facilities give in one blocks,” where verb forms, agreement and sentence construction are inaccurate. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a tall blocks apartments” and “a large homes.” Punctuation and spacing need attention too: the opening sentences run together, and several clauses are joined without clear boundaries. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns and articles first, then build longer sentences using conjunctions while checking that each clause is complete.
