Student answer (Band 5.5)

Yes I am totally agree with this statement and reason is that in large cities its difficult to buy a home because they are much expensive then apartments. The reason behind of this is large cities have many options in facilities rather then ruler areas like water , electricity , education and health. Because these fascilities are essantial to human beings to living a good healthy life in compare to village areas or rural areas. So because of these issues the price of lands in cities rise . Because of it individuals cant afford a separate land to build a home especially whose belongs to average families or whose dont have enogh money to spend judt on a home .They made a plane to how they can fulfill their all needs with this limited amount so they prefer to buy a flat rather then a house because its cheaper.

Living in apartments also have many benfits like their fascilitate provide some fascilities rather then living in separate home like food , security , security , clean enviroment and most important their own seprate park which only allow to residence.

But its also have some disadvantages as well like they not able to make friends and create relations between their neighbours because they all come form various places and carry different cultures and the ain thing is their relegions. So they are always suffering and facing many problems which they affect on their overall mental well being. They are suffered from many different disease

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall position in the opening—“I am totally agree with this statement”—and provide relevant reasons, including the high cost of land and the facilities available in cities. You also acknowledge disadvantages of apartment living, such as difficulty forming relationships with neighbours. However, the response only partly answers the question: it explains why flats may be cheaper for individuals, but does not clearly show why building tall apartment blocks is the best way for cities to provide enough homes. Several points, including the effects on mental well-being, are introduced but not explained or supported with examples. Develop the central argument with specific links between high-rise construction, land use and housing supply, and clarify how the disadvantages affect your overall position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure: it presents reasons in favour, then introduces disadvantages with “But.” This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, the overall progression is limited, and many ideas are joined through repeated or awkward connectors such as “Because,” “So because of these issues,” and “Because of it.” The first paragraph moves from city facilities to land prices and then to personal housing choices without clearly connecting each step to the claim about building tall blocks. Some references are also unclear, particularly “their facilitate provide some fascilities” and “which they affect.” Use topic sentences to organise each paragraph around one main point, and make links between claims explicit rather than relying on repeated connectors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “apartments,” “facilities,” “security,” “residence” and “mental well being,” so the subject is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “facilities,” “home” and “because.” Frequent spelling errors—such as “fascilities,” “essantial,” “enviroment” and “relegions”—and inaccurate word choices sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Phrases such as “ruler areas” and “make friends and create relations” are not natural in this context. Build a more precise vocabulary for housing and urban planning, and check spelling and collocations carefully. This would make your ideas clearer and reduce repetition.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example when explaining that city facilities raise land prices and make separate homes unaffordable. However, the response relies heavily on simple structures, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors that make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “I am totally agree,” “its difficult to buy a home because they are much expensive,” and “they not able to make friends.” There are also problems with subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries, as in “They are suffered from many different disease.” Practise forming accurate basic clauses first, then combine them with clear subordinate clauses. Careful proofreading for agreement and complete sentences would improve readability.
