Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is mainly argued that providing enough homes in urban cities is to build tall apartments blocks, which covered less space and more affordable. I partically agree with this view because building towers also have some consequences, such as no privacy, and has no parks.
On the one hand, developing tall apartment blocks covered less space, so we can build more towers which gives home to many idividuals. Moreover, vertical buildings are cheaper which people can easily afford. Tall apartment blocks also facilitates citizen to have jobs near their house, which save petrol, whereas water, electricity and security are easier to provide in one building. For instance, Lahore and Karachi has expensive land, middle-class individials can not buy, so constructed vertical building provide home to many citizens.
On the other hands, developing towers has zero privacy, that will disturbs many families, they have a lot of noises, so students who are doing their studies will be get affected and do not focus on their education. In addition, their will be on parks, so childrens have on area to play. For example, my friend live in a building, so there is no privacy, which affects its mental health and she do not focus on her studies which decreased her grades.
In conclusion, developing vertical building provide many benefits, such as it cover less space and are cheaper in price, but its has some negative impact, like it increased pressure, some people has to face water shortage, overcrowded with peoples and no privacy. In my opinion, if government is building tall apartment blocks, they should restrict some rules and regulation that citizens have to follow, so people can live their peacefully.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a relevant, partly agreeing position and address both advantages and disadvantages of tall apartment blocks. The points about using less land, affordability, nearby employment and easier service provision are pertinent, and the examples from Lahore, Karachi and your friend’s experience help illustrate them. However, the position is not fully consistent: the introduction focuses on privacy and parks, while the conclusion adds water shortages and overcrowding without explaining these concerns in the main discussion. Several ideas also need fuller explanation—for example, how apartment living creates a lack of privacy or how government rules would address the problems. Develop the central reasons more clearly and connect each example directly to your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hands” and “In conclusion” make the broad direction easy to follow. Within paragraphs, however, ideas sometimes run together or are linked mechanically with repeated “so” and “which.” The first body paragraph moves from land use to affordability, jobs and utilities without clearly showing how each point supports the claim that towers are the best solution. Some references are also unclear, particularly “their will be on parks” and “its has some negative impact.” Use more precise linking and pronouns, and organise each paragraph around one main claim followed by explanation and evidence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “vertical buildings,” “affordable,” “privacy,” “water shortage” and “overcrowded,” so the reader can understand the main subject and your position. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “provide home to many citizens.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “partically,” “idividuals,” “individials” and “noises” are examples, while “covered less space” and “has zero privacy” are unnatural collocations. Some wording is repeated, especially “tall apartment blocks” and “building.” Build accuracy with common housing and urban-planning collocations, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your supporting points clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “whereas” and “which,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors are frequent, and some complex attempts are faulty. For example, “which covered less space” does not match the present-tense argument, “building towers also have” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “students … will be get affected” uses an incorrect verb form. Agreement and sentence construction also cause problems in “Lahore and Karachi has” and “my friend live.” In the conclusion, “if government is building … they should restrict” has unclear agreement and tense. Practise accurate present-tense statements, subject–verb agreement, articles and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for a complete, correctly formed clause.
