Student answer (Band 6.0)
Constructing high rise apartmental buildings as a source to provide shelter for living in big cities is believed to be the finest possible way. I hugely agree with that statement and below i will give my reasons for a better understanding of my perspective.
The trend of tall buildings and apartment is becoming very common in large cities like Islamabad and Karachi. As in Pakistan, population rate is escalated in recent years mainly in the big cities, people and individuals are not building their own personal homes as it is very diificult to afford in a time with high rate of inflation. One of the reason is that people are busy in their lives and beacause of their personal space they try to live in different apartments. Also, the tall buildings having more then 200 apartments and many bedrooms can accomodate large number of people.
These buildings also occupy less space because their surface area is less then those luxury houses. With that the extra space can be consumed as an underground parking lot and can also serve for different purposes. Living in tall spaces can give you a sense of comfort and you can enjoy your personal space as well. Government should take such action and start building new apartmental houses and give them to people on low wage to overcome poverty and inflation. Such recommendations are best possible solution for Pakistan big cities to provide enough homes to the society.
In conclusion, for a high percentage of people, providing roof in the form of high rise buildings can prove beneficial to the country and also save a lot of money as many people can live under one roof.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that high-rise apartments can help provide homes in large cities. You give relevant reasons, including population growth, affordability, the number of residents a building can accommodate, and the smaller land area required. The Pakistan examples also keep the discussion connected to the question. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for instance, the claim that people choose apartments because they are busy or want personal space is not clearly linked to why tall blocks are the best solution. The suggestion that government should provide apartments to low-wage residents could be developed with an explanation of how this would work. A fuller discussion of limitations or alternatives would also make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present supporting reasons, and a conclusion restates the main position. Ideas generally progress from urban population and affordability to land use and government action. Basic linking expressions such as “Also,” “With that,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. At times, however, connections between ideas are abrupt or unclear. For example, the move from people being busy to wanting personal space does not explain the relationship between these points, and “With that” does not clearly identify what it refers to. The body paragraphs also combine several claims without consistently showing how each supports the central argument. Use more precise referencing and develop one main idea at a time.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for housing and urban growth, including “high rise,” “inflation,” “surface area,” “underground parking lot,” and “accommodate.” These choices make the topic clear, and some attempts at more formal language are evident. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “apartmental buildings,” “population rate is escalated,” “luxury houses,” and “provide roof.” Spelling errors, including “diificult,” “beacause,” and “accomodate,” also reduce accuracy. Repetition of “people,” “buildings,” and “cities” limits flexibility. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling; for example, use “high-rise apartment blocks,” “the population has increased,” and “provide housing.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “As in Pakistan” and a sentence explaining that buildings “can accommodate large number of people.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. Examples include “one of the reason,” where the plural form is needed, and “large number of people,” which requires an article or plural construction. The opening sentence is also awkwardly structured, while “Government should take such action” needs an article or a plural form depending on the intended meaning. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly the lowercase “i” and extra spacing. Review articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, then proofread for consistent punctuation.
