Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, all over the world tall apartments blocks are builded very fastly. Most of the people thought that the good way to provide more homes in large cities is to build high height apartments. I partialy agree with that statment.
Tall building is the best way to provide enough houses in big cities but there some danger in future if the matarial of the building is not pure. Building must be able to survive in the natrual disasters.
First, the globle population is growing very rapidly. This population need more shelters to survive in the world and live a beautiful life. Secondly, in the large cities tall buildings can play an important. In tall buildings there are more population can live and if the building is near to office , schools and industrial area. People can easily goes to jobs and children can goes toward school more easily. Thirdly one tall building get small area but provide enough shelters to thousand of people which also save land.
Mostly, the large bulidings are built in the city area and around that there are enough population live. There are sme cases is seen in some countries building can fall during earth equake due to poor material and bad engineers. Engineers can save money and use bad material in the construction which not make buliding enough scure to survivie in natural disastors such as earth equake, flood and stroms.
In conculsion, high rise apartment blocks offers a practical solution to iurban housing shortage and efficent land use.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you partially agree that tall apartment blocks can address housing shortages, while warning that unsafe construction creates risks. You give relevant reasons, including population growth, proximity to workplaces and schools, and efficient land use. The examples of buildings collapsing after earthquakes also support your concern about construction quality. However, the response develops the advantages more fully than the qualification in your position: the opening says you partially agree, but the conclusion endorses high-rise blocks without restating the safety condition or explaining when this approach may not be best. Develop that balance with a specific example or comparison, such as the need for reliable building standards or other housing options in unsuitable locations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing expressions such as “First,” “Secondly,” and “Thirdly” help readers follow the list of advantages, and the safety concern is separated into its own paragraph. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, and several ideas are crowded together. For example, the second point moves from population capacity to proximity to offices and schools without clearly explaining how these points connect. The paragraph beginning “Mostly” also repeats the focus on city locations before introducing building failures. Use clearer topic sentences and link each reason to its consequence; make the relationship between your partial agreement and the safety qualification explicit in the conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “population,” “natural disasters,” “construction,” and “land,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “high-rise apartment blocks” and “housing shortage.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make the writing less natural, including “high height apartments,” “provide enough shelters,” and “the material … is not pure.” Spelling errors such as “globle,” “bulidings,” and “disastors” are noticeable and sometimes slow the reader. Build a more precise vocabulary set for housing and safety, and check spelling and word forms carefully. For instance, use “construction materials” rather than “material … pure.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. Examples include “apartments blocks are builded,” “Most of the people thought,” and “People can easily goes”; these should use accurate plural forms and verb agreement. The sentence “In tall buildings there are more population can live” also needs restructuring, for example, “More people can live in tall buildings.” Some sentences join ideas without a clear grammatical link, as in “Tall building is the best way … but there some danger.” Practise checking each sentence for a complete clause, correct subject–verb agreement and appropriate articles, while continuing to vary sentence structures.
