Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, because of over population some countries facing major problem in providing house facilities, this isure icreasing day by day. While some argure that the perfect solution for this problem is that build high range building in big cities. Although acknowledging it marits, i believe that Goverment should think for alternative rather then make big cities more congested and crowded.
By build tall apartments blocks can give immediate solution. In addition, this can give change to create accomandation for many people at once, especially in small country. So many countries don't have proper place to create small houses such as Bangladesh and nepal. For example, in cities like Dhaka, don't have enough place to create many accomandation facilities, by building tall apartment can create more scope for housing. Besides that, it able to save agricultural area from building society.
However, If we only focused on specific cities for creating accomandation, it is not practical and long term way to solve the problem. One main reason is that, if we make people reside in big cities it will polluted and unappropiate place for livelihood. Because the cities will become congested, as a result, green space will be less. So there is high chance to people face so many health issue. For intance, now dhaka registered as a most polluted city because of overpopulation, carbon emissoin and unplanned apartment blocks. Furthermore, if large cities get occopied by the tall apartment, there will be less green park and it can be harmfill for children due to lack of pysical activities.
In conclusion, while by build high-range building in big cities can provise instand and short-term solution, it is not practical and beneficial for environment. I beleive that by making people simple life to their own places and hometown can provide the proper solution.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you recognise that tall apartment blocks can provide housing quickly, but argue that relying on them is not a practical long-term solution. The response addresses both sides and gives relevant examples, including Dhaka and the pressure on agricultural land. This meets the task well overall. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the link between apartment construction and Dhaka’s pollution is not clearly distinguished from pollution caused by population growth and other factors. The alternative of encouraging people to live in their hometowns is also introduced only in the conclusion, without explaining how it would provide enough homes. Developing these ideas with clearer reasoning and specific support would make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, the body paragraphs consider advantages and disadvantages, and the conclusion restates your position. Linking expressions such as “In addition,” “However,” and “Furthermore” help signal the direction of the argument. The progression is generally understandable, though some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “Because the cities will become congested” is presented as a separate sentence fragment, and “So there is high chance…” does not connect smoothly to the preceding explanation. Some references, such as “it” in “it able to save agricultural area,” are also unclear. To improve, make the relationship between each claim and its supporting example explicit, and use cohesive devices alongside clear sentence-to-sentence logic.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “congested,” “agricultural area,” “polluted,” and “physical activities.” These choices show an effort to discuss urban planning and its effects. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are frequent and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “over population,” “accomandation,” “emissoin,” and “harmfill.” Several phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “house facilities,” “high range building,” and “make people simple life to their own places.” Build a more reliable set of topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully. Prefer precise expressions such as “housing,” “high-rise apartment blocks,” and “encourage people to remain in their hometowns” so your meaning is conveyed naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Although acknowledging it…” and a conditional structure beginning “if we make people reside in big cities.” This gives the essay some structural variety. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur throughout. For example, “some countries facing” needs a finite verb, while “By build tall apartments blocks can give” has an incorrect verb form and an incomplete construction. “The cities will become congested, as a result, green space will be less” also joins ideas incorrectly. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and review verb patterns after “by,” conditional clauses, and punctuation between independent clauses.
