Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the contemporary times, the topic providing houses in a urban center become a major discussion. While some people think that this trend has various benefit, while others believe that it causes serious issues. In my perspective, I completely agree that advantages are far greater then its negative sides, and this eassy will support this stance with relevant argument.
To start with, there are some reason why this trend is consider problematic by some individuals. The primary concern is that building many apartments at on place is cause of Traffic Jam and loadshedding. In addition,in situationof any natural disaster it will more difficult to safe people in big apartments. Aa results, it can creat diffculties for citizen in their daily lives. For example a recent study in pakistan showed that building in karachi lot of people were died just becaues of big buildings apartments.
On the other hand, critics argue that this development has highly positive feature as well. The main advantage is that most of people in cities migrate from rural areas, living in apartments is less expensive and helps them survive. Furthermore, the biggest advantage is that hundard of people easily lived in one single apartment building. This will save more money and give opportunity to other people to come cities. In contrast, the urban ares provides better facilities and career growth. Therefore, it is important to enciourage this system when people use it properly.
In conclusion, creating more apartments in urban center has some minor downsides, but the positive points are far greater. Therefore, it should be supported or monitord carefully with proper measure.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that apartment blocks are beneficial overall, and you include both a drawback paragraph and a supporting paragraph. The points about housing affordability and accommodating many residents are relevant to the question. However, the response only partly develops the argument. The claim that apartments cause traffic congestion and power cuts is asserted rather than explained, and the Karachi example is difficult to interpret and does not clearly show how tall blocks caused the deaths. The benefits also need more specific support, such as explaining how higher-density housing uses limited urban land more efficiently. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a relevant, precise example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To start with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from affordability to the number of residents and then to career opportunities without showing how each point supports the main claim. Some linking is also inaccurate or mechanical; “In contrast” does not express the relationship intended before the point about urban facilities. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the connection between each reason and your position explicit. Clearer topic sentences and more precise referencing would strengthen the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “apartments,” “natural disaster,” “rural areas,” and “career growth,” and the reader can generally identify your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand, as in “loadsheding,” “hundard,” and “building in karachi lot of people were died.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “this trend” and “this system,” which do not clearly identify the construction of tall apartment blocks. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “high-density housing” and “urban land” would help you express the argument clearly without relying on repeated general words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “While some people think…” and a conditional idea in “when people use it properly.” However, the range is limited, and attempts at longer structures often contain errors that make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the topic providing houses in a urban center become” has problems with clause structure, articles, and subject–verb agreement; “building many apartments at on place is cause” is also not grammatically controlled. There are frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “although,” and “which.”
