Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, due to over population housing has become an important issue in society. I completely agree with this statement because i feel like it's a basic need for human being. Also due to limited availabilty of land esspecially in third world countires.
To begin with, one of the main reasons why I agree is that space availabilty is also main concern. This is because lot of space is already accured by housing socities . For example, in Lahore buying house is very expensive, most of people living in sharing or rental spaces . As a result, instead of these large houses concept we should promote, tall apartment blocks buildings.
Furthermore, another important reason is that this concept will also help our ecosystem in term of stainability . For instance, if we see examples round the world like Finland and Estonia, there are very micro nations they fix there living issue by replacing houses with apartments and 90% people live there.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks. This is mainly because it will help to solve our living issues and it believe this will make housing more affordable.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear position—“I completely agree”—and give relevant reasons about limited land, housing costs in Lahore, and sustainability. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these ideas are brief and not sufficiently explained or supported. For example, the claim that apartments would help the ecosystem is not connected to a clear explanation of how taller buildings improve sustainability, and the Finland and Estonia example is asserted without detail. The conclusion repeats your view but does not add support. The response contains 187 words, so it is 63 words below the 250-word minimum; 12 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each reason with explanation and a specific, relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs introduced by “To begin with” and “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify your main reasons. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and some links between claims are unclear. For instance, “As a result” introduces the recommendation to build apartments, but the connection between expensive housing in Lahore and that solution needs fuller explanation. The phrase “For instance” also leads to a broad claim about Finland and Estonia without showing how it supports the point. Some linking expressions feel mechanical, while the conclusion largely repeats the introduction. Extend the reasoning in each paragraph and use clear references to connect examples to your claims.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “over population,” “limited availability of land,” “housing,” “rental spaces,” and “sustainability,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to follow, such as “availabilty,” “accured,” “socities,” and “stainability.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, including “very micro nations” and “large houses concept.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “urban land is scarce,” “high-rise apartments,” and “housing affordability” would help you express the argument more clearly and avoid repeating general words such as “issue” and “concept.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a conditional example beginning “if we see examples.” However, the range is limited, and frequent errors in sentence structure, articles, agreement, and punctuation sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “because i feel like it's a basic need for human being,” the fragment “Also due to limited availability of land,” and “most of people living in sharing or rental spaces.” The final sentence, “I strongly agree that provide enough homes…,” is missing a grammatical subject. Capitalise “I,” use complete sentences, and check articles and verb forms. Practising accurate complex sentences will help you explain your reasons without losing clarity.
