Student answer (Band 5.0)
Everybody wants to live in the urban areas that needs more infrastructure, more buildings and more homes to step into it. As the big cities are overly crowded and dont have any spare land so buliding more stories aprtments is the only options left to adjust the people.
As people are shifting from the rural lifestyle to the urban the need to build more houses, more apartments is quite unavoidable. Building tall aprtments with more stories houses is quite benefit for as more people can be adjusted into one building and left some space.
While there are also some cons on building tall house blocks is durning the national disaster it will lead to the more human loss. It costs a lot and the people need some space to the breath freely. The big disadvantage of living in the tall apartments is durning the illness. For instance if a person living on the 90th floor of a building needs helps he/she have to face lot of struggle.
In conclusion the building tall aprtments is the only option left too adjust soo many people into one buildin but it has its own flaws.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a broadly clear position: tall apartment buildings are presented as the only practical option for crowded cities, while you acknowledge disadvantages such as disaster risks and difficulty getting help on a high floor. These points are relevant, but the response addresses the question only partially because the reasons are brief and largely asserted rather than explained or supported with a developed example. For instance, you say more residents can fit in one building, but do not explain how this compares with other housing approaches or why it is the best way. The conclusion repeats the position without weighing the drawbacks. The response is also 59 words below the required minimum, limiting the space available to develop your argument. Extend each main point with explanation and a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph supporting tall buildings, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through your ideas. However, progression is limited: the first two paragraphs repeat the need for more homes, and the relationship between the advantages and disadvantages is not fully developed. Linking is also sometimes mechanical, particularly the shift beginning “While there are also some cons,” which does not clearly connect to the preceding point. Some sentences run ideas together, as in “Building tall apartments with more stories houses is quite benefit for as more people can be adjusted into one building and left some space.” Use clearer topic sentences, separate distinct ideas, and add linking phrases that show contrast or cause and effect accurately.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “urban areas,” “overly crowded,” “national disaster,” and “human loss.” This shows an ability to discuss housing and its possible consequences. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which can make meaning less clear. For example, “adjust the people” is not a natural way to describe accommodating residents, and “space to the breath freely” does not express the intended idea idiomatically. Spelling errors such as “buliding,” “aprtments,” and “durning” are also noticeable. Aim to use precise housing-related terms and check spelling carefully; varying repeated words such as “buildings,” “people,” and “more” would also make the argument clearer and less repetitive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “As the big cities are overly crowded…” and a conditional example about someone living on the 90th floor. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “Everybody wants to live in the urban areas that needs,” where the relative clause does not agree with its noun, and “Building tall apartments … is quite benefit,” where the sentence pattern is incomplete. There are also frequent errors with articles, plurals, verb forms, and punctuation, as in “the people need some space” and “he/she have to face lot of struggle.” These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise accurate sentence patterns and proofread for agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
