Student answer (Band 5.0)
Providing considirable amount of homes in huge cities to construct high rise apartment blocks are indeed the best way. I believe it is accessable for everyone such as people with disabilities, older pupils and lazy people. However some communities might not like the idea living in a square block.
The main reason for building an apartment is minize the space in a larger populations. So in large city most of its crucial buildings such as hospitals, shopping centre and universities are centered in the city's heart. If there wasn't any apartments, the city would expand significantly to the point where you'd have to travel through the train to reach to city's one end to the other end. So an apartments can minimize the space and make it easier to transport in the city, which can reduce traffic stress.
On the other hand, some people doesn't like the city life, where everything is loud, populated and polluted. These types of people are tied to the city life because of their jobs, accessbility for better quality hospital and education. I think they cant be pressured to live in an environment they personally don't allign with. For instance, the goverment could force everyone in an certain area of pupils however there are people who enjoy living in an ger district, actions like cleaning their yard and raiising a lifestock.
To conclude, although a building a tall buildings are beneficial, we have to consider every aspect. The goverment should give opportunities to people to buy their own apartment or help them to get into it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a relevant position: you support apartment construction for space efficiency, while recognising that some residents prefer a different environment. The point about central services and reduced travel is pertinent, and the contrast with people who value yard work and livestock adds a personal dimension. However, the response only partly answers how tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes. The accessibility claim in the introduction is not explained, and the discussion of residents’ preferences does not clearly show whether it changes your overall level of agreement. Develop the housing-supply argument with a specific explanation or example, and state your position more consistently—for instance, whether high-rise housing should be the main solution but not the only one.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. “On the other hand” signals a shift to the counterargument, and “To conclude” makes the ending easy to identify. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the claim about saving space moves quickly to city services, train travel and traffic without clearly connecting each point to providing enough homes. The example about a government forcing people to live in an area is also not fully linked to the preceding point. Use clearer topic sentences and explain the relationship between each example and your main argument. More precise referencing would also help readers follow who “these types of people” refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “high rise apartment blocks,” “populated,” “polluted,” and “traffic stress,” and you attempt to express ideas about accessibility and urban living. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response harder to understand, such as “considirable,” “accessbility,” “allign,” and “raiising.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “minize the space,” “an apartments,” and “a ger district.” Aim for accurate collocations and specific terms: explain what kind of housing or neighbourhood you mean rather than relying on unclear wording. Proofreading spelling and checking whether each word fits its context would make your ideas more accessible.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional construction (“If there wasn't any apartments, the city would expand”) and a contrast introduced by “although.” However, errors are frequent, and some sentences require effort to interpret. Examples include subject–verb disagreement in “some people doesn't like,” incorrect articles and plurals in “an apartments,” and the incomplete construction “although a building a tall buildings are beneficial.” Verb forms and sentence structure are also faulty in “the best way” sentence and “the goverment could force everyone in an certain area of pupils.” Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns, article and plural combinations, and complete clauses before adding complexity. Punctuation around introductory transitions also needs attention.
