Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes, I agree that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes in large cities. Because there are many people who are homeless and need flat to stay.
The population in large cities is very higher than the population in small cities. That became the reason of people who do not find any kind of living space like a flat or house . The tall apartment blocks are consist of various flats and which is a great way to make home for a lot of people. As in apartments, there are not only too many flats that consisting of solid sturcture but also there are other facilities. Tall apartment will take small place compare to houses . Because in a apartment more than 25 flats can possible to make whereas separate houses in large cities can take more space and will cause problems for individuals. For example, a large city like Dhaka which is located in Bangladesh, there are too many tall apartment blocks which helps to provide enough homes for individuals.
However, in large cities, it is difficult to ensure homes for every individual. Tall apartment blocks can surely solve the problem. As in large cities, building small houses for every individual is quite impossible thing and not a best way to provide home for everyone. The tall apartment blocks can consist many houses in one building. As a large city has a large population, besides that, the main attraction of large cities are the homes.
In conclusion, as large cities important part is the attraction and the homes plays a vital role of it, so the best way would be the tall apartment blocks for enough homes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear position in favour of tall apartment blocks and give relevant reasons, including their ability to accommodate many households on a smaller area of land. The Dhaka example also helps connect your argument to a real city. However, the response addresses the issue only partially: it repeats that apartment buildings contain many homes, while offering little discussion of whether they are the best solution or of possible limitations, such as affordability, infrastructure, or the need for other housing types. The point that “the main attraction of large cities are the homes” is unclear and does not support the argument effectively. Develop fewer points in more detail, explain how each supports your view, and make the example more specific.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs, a contrast signalled by “However,” and a conclusion. The main idea—high-rise buildings can house many people in limited space—can be followed. However, progression is repetitive: the second and third paragraphs both restate that tall blocks contain many homes, rather than adding distinct stages to the argument. Some links are also awkward or unclear, particularly “As a large city has a large population, besides that,” and the conclusion introduces the vague idea of cities’ “attraction” without connecting it clearly to the reasons above. Organise each body paragraph around a separate reason, use referencing and linking phrases accurately, and ensure every sentence advances the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “population,” “living space,” “facilities,” and “apartment blocks,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “large cities,” “homes,” and “tall apartment blocks.” There are also noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems, such as “make home,” “solid sturcture,” and “take small place,” which make parts of the response less natural. Aim for more precise housing vocabulary and check spelling. For example, describe buildings as “accommodating households” and land use as “space-efficient,” while avoiding repeated use of the same basic terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a comparison between apartment blocks and separate houses. However, the range is limited, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “Because there are many people who are homeless” as a sentence fragment, “The tall apartment blocks are consist,” and “more than 25 flats can possible to make.” There are also recurring errors with articles, agreement, and sentence construction, as in “in a apartment” and “the homes plays.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check article use and subject–verb agreement before submitting.
