Student answer (Band 5.5)
In large cities , building apartment blocks are the best way to facilitate a large number of people. Large cities often have more opportunities and facilities than countrysides or small towns. I completely agree with this idea. I will present my opinion with supporting reasons.
Apartments should build in cities for providing accomodations to people. Large cities hold numerous opportunities due to this they are densely populated. People need shelters to live in, constructing tall building is the best solution. It also assist individual in finances. People with vacant floor can rent the place and earn money. In many countries, most of the people do it and it is the good source of income as well.
Tall buildings save the area for other buildings construction. Saving the land is important because government can take initiative to build parks, museums, artificial forest and other sites that can make the city attractive. These residential buildings have other advantages too. People who live in the apartment blocks are often more social. They know each other and have good interaction with their fellow residents. They regularly see each others because they use the same way to go out and get in to the place.
As far as I am concerned, there are many advantages to build apartment blocks. Government should focus on this initiative. This not only helps in financial way but it does in emotionally too. People who have their houses can construct several floors and they can rent the place. Person do not feel lonely here because of continuous interaction with their neighbors.
In conclusion, building houses with multiple floors not only benefit individuals but it will provide advantage to the government as well. Person can make money by renting, while government can do by building others areas which can grab the visitor's attention.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: “I completely agree,” and the response stays focused on housing in large cities. You give relevant reasons, including accommodating a dense population, earning rental income, and freeing land for parks and other facilities. These points address the task, but they are not all developed equally. For example, the claim that apartment residents are more social is repeated in the conclusion without explaining why this is a significant benefit of building tall blocks or supporting it with a specific example. The discussion also treats tall apartments as the best solution without considering any limitation or alternative. To strengthen the response, explain the practical impact of each reason and connect it more directly to providing enough homes.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main ideas are generally easy to follow. Paragraphs group related points, such as land use and community interaction. However, progression is sometimes weakened by mechanical or unclear connections. “Large cities hold numerous opportunities due to this they are densely populated” joins two ideas without clear punctuation or a suitable linking structure. The final body paragraph repeats the points about renting and social interaction rather than advancing the argument, and the conclusion largely restates earlier claims. Use clearer links between cause and effect, and give each paragraph a distinct purpose so the argument develops rather than circles back.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of task-related vocabulary, including “densely populated,” “vacant floor,” “residential buildings,” and “interaction,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts to use less common expressions, such as “artificial forest” and “grab the visitor’s attention,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural and make the meaning less precise. Several words and phrases are repeated, particularly “people,” “build,” and “place,” limiting flexibility. Spelling errors such as “accomodations” also affect accuracy. Aim for more natural collocations and precise terms for housing and urban planning, and check spelling. For instance, describe land as being “reserved for public amenities” rather than simply “saved for other buildings construction.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction are noticeable. Examples include “Apartments should build” instead of a passive form such as “Apartments should be built,” “It also assist” instead of “It also assists,” and “Person do not feel lonely” instead of “People do not feel lonely.” The sentence beginning “Large cities hold numerous opportunities due to this…” also needs clearer punctuation or restructuring to avoid joining clauses incorrectly. These errors sometimes make the relationships between ideas less clear. Practise accurate passive constructions and subject–verb agreement, and proofread each sentence for complete clauses and punctuation.
