Student answer (Band 5.5)
In modern days there are huge traffic of people in cities. People fock up to that place for better oppurtunities and facilities. As a government, they cannot stop people to migrate to cities for better oppurtunity as it is their right. This is creating a huge problem for government and people living in that certain place as well as to the people comming to cities. In that problem housing crises is the most prominent one.
People need a roof to stay under. Thus they look for houses to rent or buy. But due to limited amount of land the house are also limited in number. The one avilable are very expensive to buy due to land price.
In my opinion, tall apartment might be the solution to these problems. I can say that because we can accomodate alot of people in a fixed amount of land. Taking an example, let us assume an area having a certain amount of land which is enough to create a tall apartment which can occupy say 250 people but in the same area if we make houses for a colony the number would decrease drastically. Certain areas most also be excluded to make essential area like road, footpath, etc. That area of land for road can be utilized to make a big and tall building with a common road where every house can use.
That said tall apartment also have alot of drawbacks. Some worth mentioning are not having a personal space as available in house, there might be alot of disturbance from neighbour and having a limited space to use. Many people donot prefer such place and would rather make a small house.
In a nutshell, tall apartment solves alot of problem for government and housing crises. But the house owner need to adjust to various condition and rules along with living in a very small cramped space. If they spend the same money in buying a house, they can live comfortably.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the question directly by supporting tall apartment blocks as a way to accommodate more people on limited land, and you also acknowledge disadvantages such as reduced privacy and disturbance from neighbours. The comparison between one tall building and a housing colony is relevant, but it remains hypothetical and would be more convincing with a specific example or clearer explanation of how this approach provides enough homes. Your position is broadly supportive, although the conclusion introduces a qualification—that residents may be more comfortable in houses—without explaining how this affects your overall judgement of the proposal as the best solution. Develop the reasons and weigh the drawbacks more clearly to make your response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: it introduces urban housing pressure, explains the case for apartments, considers drawbacks, and ends with a summary. Paragraphing helps the reader follow this progression, and transitions such as “In my opinion,” “That said,” and “In a nutshell” signal changes in direction. Some connections are less clear or feel mechanical, however. For example, “In that problem housing crises is the most prominent one” does not link smoothly to the preceding point, and the final paragraph repeats the contrast between apartments and houses rather than resolving it. Make the relationship between each claim and its supporting example more explicit, and use referencing and transitions more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “housing crises,” “limited amount of land,” “accommodate,” and “personal space,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors are noticeable: “huge traffic of people,” “fock up,” “oppurtunities,” “comming,” and “cramped space.” Repeated use of “alot” and “problem” also makes the expression less precise. These issues sometimes make the reader pause, even though the intended meaning can usually be inferred. Build a more accurate set of phrases for urban growth and housing, and check spelling and natural word combinations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional comparison beginning “if we make houses for a colony” and a concession introduced by “That said.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but grammatical control is uneven, with errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence construction. For example, “there are huge traffic” needs a singular construction, while “the house are also limited” has a number-agreement error. The long sentence beginning “Taking an example” is difficult to follow because its clauses are not clearly structured. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check subject–verb agreement and article use; this will make your reasoning easier to understand.
