Student answer (Band 5.5)
First of all, there is ongoing debat on the alternative option to provide enough homes in large cities, many expert belive that build tall apartment blocks is the solution to provide enough homes but i personally disagree with this statment by the following reasons mention on the upcoming paragraph.
With the increase in the rapid population and migration of the people's around the world there is limited options to provide the housing to the general public but the build tall apartment blocks is not the logical soultion because if we start to build tall apartment blocks then there will be no saftey in case of earthquick and fire .
Tall buildings also have the problem of water sotage for example if the people of all apartment start to use water at the same time then there is no pressure in the water to go to the upper flat, if someone throw the wastages from the upper floor then there will be problem for people living below them and there will be also the noise polution.
In case of building tall apartment blocks grovement should build the coloney with the small house of one or two floor where the one or two family can fit then there will be no any confilict and people can run there daily work from there house and families also have privacy.
In conclusion, building tall apartments blocks is not only the soution to provide enough housing to the general public it is becuase there are many problem in the tall building regrading the safty and privacy of general public.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you disagree that tall apartment blocks are the best solution, and you give relevant reasons, including safety risks, water supply, noise and privacy. These points show an attempt to address the question, but the response only partly develops the argument. For example, the earthquake and fire risks are asserted without explaining how they affect housing provision or giving a specific example. The water-pressure point is also difficult to follow, and the alternative of building small houses is introduced without considering whether it can provide enough homes in a large city. To strengthen your response, explain each reason and support it with a relevant example, while directly comparing the capacity of low-rise housing with apartment blocks.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas are generally grouped by topic, and phrases such as “for example” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the second paragraph moves from population growth to safety without showing the connection, while the third combines water pressure, waste and noise without a clear sequence. Linking phrases are also repetitive or awkward, including “by the following reasons mention on the upcoming paragraph.” Use simpler, more precise transitions and make each paragraph develop one main point in a logical order, with clear references between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “migration,” “population,” “privacy” and “water pressure,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or inaccurate word choices make parts of the response harder to understand, such as “debat,” “soultion,” “saftey,” “water sotage” and “noise polution.” Some phrases are also unnatural, for example “provide the housing to the general public” and “run there daily work from there house.” Aim to learn accurate collocations for housing and urban development, and proofread spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain your concerns without relying on repeated general words such as “problem” and “people.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt longer sentences and use some subordinate clauses, such as “if we start to build tall apartment blocks then there will be no safety…” and “if someone throw the wastages…”. These attempts show some range, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include “many expert believe,” “there is limited options,” “the people of all apartment,” and “families also have privacy.” Subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals and sentence boundaries need particular attention. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with one clear conditional or reason clause. Check that each sentence has a complete, correctly formed subject and verb.
