Student answer (Band 6.0)
The population of the large cities is increasing day by day and the concern regarding the habitate of the huge amount of people is also rising. To ensure the shelter of this increasing people, some suggested to create high buildings with several blocks. I fully agree with the idea as tall buildings can provide shelter to a large amount of people using minimal lands and improve the communication between the families by creating new bonds.
Firstly, the tall apartments with several blocks allow a large number of people to live in a small space. The land of the world for people's habitat are limited. If every family start to build a house for themselves separetely, there will definitely be a shortage of space. In large cities, where shortage of space already prevails, tall buildings with lots of blocks are the solution to ensure homes to the large amount of people. For example, in the capital of Bangladesh, around 2 crore people are living in a limited space which became possible due to the abundance of the tall apartments.
Secondly, living in the same apartment help people to be more communicative and creating new bonds. Generally, in the big cities, everyone remains busy in their work. When there is lack of time, coomunicating with others become difficult if there is substantial distances between house. Living in a apartment compels people to face other families and communicate with them. As a result, the communication of the people living in the apartment improves and new bonds creates. For example, it is found in a research that people living in the apartment of Bangladesh have greater communication skill compared to those who live in separete houses.
In conclusion, population of world specially in large cities are increasing day by day and the best solution to ensure homes to everyone is building tall apartment with several blocks as it makes the best use of limited land and accelerate the communication between people,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you fully agree that tall apartment buildings are the best way to provide homes. You give two relevant reasons—using limited land efficiently and encouraging interaction among residents—and support each with examples, including the reference to Dhaka’s population. This meets the task well. However, the second reason is less directly connected to providing enough homes, and the research example is asserted rather than explained or substantiated. The response would be more fully developed if you compared high-rise housing with alternatives, or explained practical limitations such as infrastructure and overcrowding, while showing why apartments remain the best option. Your conclusion restates your view, though it could draw the argument together more precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” make the progression explicit. This gives the essay a coherent arrangement. Some cohesion is nevertheless mechanical, with repeated references to “tall buildings,” “people,” and “communication.” Connections within the second body paragraph are also somewhat repetitive: the ideas about limited time, meeting other families, and forming bonds could be linked more smoothly. Use pronouns or precise paraphrases where the reference is clear, and vary transitions so that relationships between claims and examples—not just paragraph order—are made explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main argument, including “limited space,” “shortage,” “shelter,” and “abundance.” There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “substantial distances” and “ensure homes.” However, noticeable word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling problems make the expression less natural and sometimes require the reader to interpret your meaning. Examples include “habitate,” “separetely,” “coomunicating,” “the communication … improves,” and “accelerate the communication.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “several blocks” when you appear to mean apartments or units. Build a more accurate range of housing and urban-planning vocabulary, and check spelling and common word partnerships before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures (“If every family start to build…”) and clauses beginning with “When” and “As a result.” This shows some range, and the main ideas remain understandable. However, errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and verb forms occur across the response. For example, “The land … are limited” has a subject–verb agreement problem; “living in the same apartment help” needs a singular verb; and “new bonds creates” has incorrect agreement. There are also article and number issues in “in a apartment” and “between house.” These errors prevent consistently accurate control. Review subject–verb agreement and article use, then proofread each sentence for singular and plural forms while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
