Student answer (Band 5.5)
The topic of providing residency or we can say managing residential area is widely acknowledged everywhere now a days and somehow more in pakistan.
This topic has two extents to be seen both good and bad. some people say that it would be brilliant to build larger apartments and building to provide houses and other debates that it would not worthy to take this step giving some major dangerous reasons we will discuss both of the events below.I would say that it would be better not to build much bigger blocks and also will proivde the reason below.
We are going to discuss advantages of constructing bigger apartments some people that says that it would be better to build taller hotels povides enough reasons which includes that having these will some how reduce the pollution because constructing one house requires enough land , the other reason is it provides family gathering and also friendly environment to everyone living in that block or apartment , it also provides higher security for 24 hours. on the other hand, a group of community debate that it would be risky for the future because in real world life it would be so dangerous that for one time there is an earthquake it will destoy everything like it will be the loss of spendings , lives as well as time and i also agreed with this.
i would rather prefer to construct houses individually to protect lives from the upcoming risk.because prevention is better then cure in my opinion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall preference against tall apartment blocks, especially in “I would say that it would be better not to build much bigger blocks,” and you offer relevant points about land use, community, security and earthquake risk. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the benefits are listed rather than explained, and the earthquake concern is asserted without evidence or a specific example. The opening also promises to discuss both sides, but the final position is not fully connected to the earlier points—for instance, you do not explain why individual houses are a better way to provide enough homes in large cities. Develop fewer ideas with clearer reasoning and support to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable sequence: an introduction, a discussion of advantages, a contrasting concern, and a concluding preference. This gives the reader a basic sense of direction. However, progression is uneven because several ideas are crowded into one long paragraph, and the introduction repeats the idea of discussing both sides without clearly setting out the argument. Linking phrases such as “on the other hand” help signal contrast, but “some people say” and “a group of community debate” are repetitive or unclear, while the final sentence begins abruptly with “because.” Use separate paragraphs for the two sides and conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one main point with clear links between claims and explanations.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “residential area,” “pollution,” “earthquake,” “security,” and “friendly environment,” so the reader can identify the subject and main concerns. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make parts difficult to interpret, such as “taller hotels” for apartment buildings, “it would not worthy,” and “loss of spendings.” Repetition of “build,” “better,” and “reason” also limits precision. Spelling errors such as “proivde,” “destoy,” and “now a days” further reduce control. Build a more accurate set of housing and urban-planning terms, and check spelling and collocations when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
There are attempts to use complex structures, including “because constructing one house requires enough land” and the conditional idea about an earthquake. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to follow. For example, “some people that says” has incorrect agreement and clause structure, while “it would not worthy to take this step” is missing a necessary verb form. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent: the long sentence beginning “We are going to discuss advantages” runs several ideas together, and “because prevention is better then cure” is left as a fragment. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, complete clauses, and shorter sentence structures before adding complexity.
