Student answer (Band 5.5)
In big cities people face lot of challenges to find home for living as the cities becoming bustling. Consequently I firmly agree with the notion that tall building apartment blocks can provide enough homes in large cities. Due to the fact that tall buildings accupies little space and can be homes for a large number of people.
I firmly agree with the statement because has several benefits. Firstly, building tall apartments can provide enough space for people home comute to large cities from rural areas and also helps them to keep their privacy as each block can easily adjust whole family separatly. For instance in big buselting cities like Islamabad people face lots of difficulties to find place for resident as a result government and real estates decide to build tall apartment blocks to adjust the increasing number of people and provide comfortable homes for living.
Secondly, these tall building can provide segnificant advantage in economic development of a nation. It can provide large number of job oppertunities and also the revenue of these apartments can give a big hand in economic development. For instant a tall building has large number of apartments each apartment has their own rent or price if someone wants to buy it as a result it worth a lot more than a spacouse home where only one family can live.
Consequently, building tall apartment blocks populated cities can provide enough home for people to live without any harm to their privacy as well it can segificantly develop the the economy of these cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you firmly agree that tall apartment blocks can help provide homes in large cities. You give two relevant reasons—using limited land efficiently and contributing to economic development—and support them with an example about Islamabad. However, the explanation of how apartments accommodate families and protect privacy is unclear, and the economic point focuses more on rent and property value than on how this directly solves the housing shortage. The response therefore addresses the question, but its main ideas are only partly developed and some supporting details are difficult to follow. To strengthen the argument, explain more precisely how high-rise housing increases the number of available homes, and acknowledge a limitation or alternative, such as the need for suitable infrastructure.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs beginning with “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a concluding paragraph. This helps the reader identify your main reasons. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from commuting to privacy and then to the Islamabad example without clearly connecting these points. Linking expressions such as “Consequently” and “as a result” are repeated, and some connections do not accurately show the relationship between ideas. For example, the link between apartment prices and economic development needs explanation. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then develop it in a clear sequence with more precise referencing and fewer repetitive connectors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “bustling,” “privacy,” “economic development,” and “job opportunities,” and the reader can generally understand your position. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the argument difficult to interpret. Examples include “home for living,” “space for people home comute,” “adjust the increasing number of people,” and “spacouse home.” These expressions do not communicate your intended meaning naturally. Spelling errors such as “accupies,” “segnificant,” and “oppertunities” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of housing-related phrases and check spelling carefully; choosing familiar words accurately is more effective than attempting an unclear expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using structures such as “because” and “as a result” to explain reasons. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in sentence formation, agreement, articles, and plurals occur frequently enough to make some ideas hard to follow. For example, “because has several benefits” lacks a clear subject, while “these tall building can provide” has a subject–verb agreement and plural-form problem. The opening sentence also combines clauses awkwardly: “as the cities becoming bustling.” Some sentences run together, particularly the long example about Islamabad. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and separate related ideas with accurate punctuation. Aim for controlled complex sentences rather than joining several points into one.
