Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent year, each and every person have a dream to have his own house. It has become a great discussion in society. There is the better way solution to provide homes as a tall building in cities. In my opinion, I partially agree with this statement because there are various drawback behind construction in cities.

To begin with, why i disagree of this idea of developing more and more apartments in cities. This is because, if government or municipality decided to construct tall building in city, it consider maybe less space but the demolish or cut down the city's tress as well as occupied space which contain green space. Furthermore, this steps are beneficial but indirectly affect the environmental. Thus, providing enough homes in cities is a good idea but it is affect natures too.

The primary reason why i agree is that introduce new facilities in the cities. This is because day by day each and every cities population are grown. Moreover, people migrate rural area to urban area because of not only for their better future but also wants to live independent city life. For example, there was one survey data represented that 9 out of 10 family move to the city and looking for their own home. Therefore, this factor play a important role in providing apartments to citizens.

Another major point that support my view is that development and increase wide area of cities. This happens because if higher authority provide best amenities to people then they create indirectly job opportunities for individuals and that is why most of the people love to lives in cities. For instance, in 2020 there was one research conducted by university student about developments in the Surat city. There were shocking data seen in the report as compared to another years. It means city develop every day and expand their area. As a result, development of the cities is also attract people to live long in the urban areas.

In conclusion, I partially agree with this statement because of it has few drawbacks which affect environment. However, the positive side of is that idea gives homes to each and every person who has dream to live in city and fulfill their needs.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear, though qualified, position: you “partially agree,” and you include reasons both against and in favour of apartment construction. The environmental concern about removing trees is relevant, as is the point that urban population growth increases demand for housing. However, the response only partly answers whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes. The discussion of “new facilities” and job opportunities shifts towards general city development, rather than explaining how high-rise housing meets demand or comparing it with alternatives. The survey and Surat example are also asserted without enough detail to show how they support your argument. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and a specific link to the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs for opposing and supporting points, and a conclusion that returns to your position. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “The primary reason,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the paragraph about facilities moves from population growth to migration and then to a survey, without fully connecting these points to tall buildings. Some linking phrases are repetitive or do not express the relationship accurately, including repeated “This is because” and “As a result.” Improve cohesion by making each paragraph develop one central claim and using references and transitions that clearly show cause, contrast, or consequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “demolish,” “green space,” “environmental,” “job opportunities,” and “urban areas,” so the reader can identify the main subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making ideas harder to understand. For example, “the better way solution,” “occupied space which contain green space,” and “development and increase wide area of cities” do not express the intended meanings naturally. There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “tress” and “developments” where a different form is needed. Build a more precise vocabulary for housing and urban planning, and check that words combine naturally in phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional and causal structures such as “if government or municipality decided to construct…” and “because if higher authority provide…”. However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “each and every person have,” “it consider maybe less space,” and “people migrate rural area to urban area.” Articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction need more consistent control. Some sentences also contain unclear or incomplete structures, such as “The primary reason why i agree is that introduce new facilities in the cities.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each clause for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
