Student answer (Band 5.0)

Homes are necessary for spending days of life and it is the best palce for someone to do any work without any hesitation. Everyone has not his own house but he leaves in someone others as a paying guest but he also feels this scarcity. But now a big problem is that many people have its own landspace for costructed a home but a few are not able to buy and bulid it. I totally agree that instead of providing enough homes, build tall apartments is very good method for housing schemes, as it help in economical conditions of a state.

The mian reason is problem of money for living that individuals are not to much rich for buying a new home because some are doing jobs and some may be labours or co-workers working under someone. They cannot afford luxary life style and wish to spend happys hours with their families so they are trying to get an affordable apartment for this. For example, a man has a small amount of salary in which he just carries out the difficulties of family expenses and aslo pays the living rent, then he has two ways to solve his problem that he find the new and an apartment according to his expenses or finding some other work form where he gets a better salary for upgrading his lifestyle.

Secondly, a large number of rich men buy land, build home and leave it without any person for many of years. This create a possible issue of scarcity of land for making apartments. It makes a huge lose in economy of the country and sometime it also affects badly. So, government need to make strict policies against them and buy land for constructing apartments.

In conclusion, it seem to be very nessecary that there must be introduced some kind of campains that guide people to give them awareness about buying lands. It also look essential that authorities also make some strict rules and take steps against such mafia person.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall position in the introduction (“I totally agree”) and offer relevant points about affordability and the use of land. However, the response only partially addresses the specific proposal of building tall apartment blocks. The discussion focuses more on people’s ability to buy homes, vacant land, and government policies than on how high-rise housing would provide enough homes or what its limitations might be. The example of a low-paid worker is relevant to affordability, but it does not clearly show how apartment blocks solve the housing shortage. Develop each reason with a direct link to high-rise construction and explain why you consider it the best approach, perhaps comparing it briefly with alternatives.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “The main reason” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from low incomes to renting and then to finding another job, without clearly connecting these ideas to tall apartment blocks. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “this” in “This create a possible issue” do not clearly identify the preceding point. The conclusion introduces campaigns and rules against landowners rather than neatly summarising the argument. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example explicitly to your position, and ensure the conclusion reflects the reasons developed in the essay.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to housing and economics, including “scarcity,” “affordable apartment,” “economy,” and “strict policies.” These choices show an effort to discuss the topic beyond very basic language. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “problem,” “home,” and “make,” while several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand. For example, “spending days of life,” “leaves in someone others,” and “huge lose in economy” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Spelling errors such as “palce,” “luxary,” and “campains” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise housing vocabulary and check spelling and common word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “because” and “that,” so there is some structural variety. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “many people have its own landspace” has an agreement problem, while “as it help in economical conditions” has an incorrect verb form and an unclear grammatical relationship. The sentence beginning “then he has two ways to solve his problem” also becomes difficult to control as several ideas are joined together. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses and check subject–verb agreement.
