Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is clearly evident that the houses and apartments blocks provided in the large cities. They both for living and some people are sugguest homes and some sugguest are apartments. For my prespective, i agree with this statement.

On the one hand, in large cities i perfer the tall apartement because they provided all the faciities as such as in homes. They have many families are lived in apartment blocks. For example our goverment provides the apartment of the retired officers. It take less place and provided all the things. it has a decent look and people safe in apartment . They provided scuritey and all people are vsafe

On the other hand, in cities houses take many places and the cities larger time by time.so they have issues for example, they go to works and cover many distance and faces the issues such as traffic jam, high expense for the petrol as well as air pollution. The houses are not safe in large cities. so the large cities for the industrial and peole fron other cities and the company provided appqartment blocks.

Overall, the apparment and houses both for living so i suggust appartments because it take less places and provided all the facilities same as houses.

to conculude, there are a lot of difficulties and faces many challanges to provide the homes.so the appartment block have same facilites so i perfer the appartment blocks

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

Your position is identifiable: you agree that apartment blocks are preferable, and you give relevant reasons such as using less space, providing facilities and potentially improving safety. The comparison with houses also introduces related concerns, including traffic, fuel costs and pollution. However, the response only partially develops the task: several claims are unclear or unsupported, and the example about retired officers is not explained enough to show how it proves tall blocks are the best way to provide homes. The conclusion repeats your preference rather than drawing the reasons together. The response is 16 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop each main reason with a clear explanation or specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “Overall” help signal the stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from facilities to retired officers, space and safety without clearly connecting these points. Some links are also mechanical or unclear, and the final “Overall” paragraph repeats the conclusion rather than adding a distinct summary. Improve cohesion by giving each paragraph one central point, arranging its supporting details logically, and using clear references to show how each sentence relates to the previous one.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “apartment blocks,” “facilities,” “traffic jam,” “air pollution” and “retired officers.” These terms make your general subject clear. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “provided,” “cities,” and “apartment blocks.” Frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning, as in “suggust,” “scuritey” and “cover many distance.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “take less place” and “high expense for the petrol.” Build a more accurate range of housing and urban-planning vocabulary, and check spelling and collocations when revising.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to express a position and give reasons, but sentence structures are mostly simple, and errors are frequent enough to sometimes obscure meaning. For example, “the houses and apartments blocks provided in the large cities” is not a complete, correctly formed sentence, while “They have many families are lived in apartment blocks” combines incompatible verb structures. Verb forms and agreement also need attention in “It take less place” and “the cities larger time by time.” Articles, plurals and punctuation are inconsistent, including missing spaces after full stops and commas. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then connect them with clauses such as “because” or “which.” Proofread each sentence for a clear subject, a correctly formed verb and appropriate punctuation.
