Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that building tall apartment blocks is the best way to provide enough homes in large cities. In my opinion, I completely agree with this view because tall apartment consume same area of land and other reason is public feel secure and safe while living in apartments.
First and foremost, there are clear reasons why tall apartment consume same area. It is because if an individual is making one block house, he/she building that house on 338.63 square meter and other citizen utilize his/her knowledge and build a 5 block apartment on same square meter that illustrates tall apartment does not consume more area. A clear example is at Kathmandu which is also known as the capital city of Nepal there are a lot of tall apartment and it does not consume that much area which is an outstanding factor for that city and in tall apartments in each blocks a whole family can live there. Additionally, in tall apartments in every blocks there are a bunch of residents living and living in same apartment creates benevolence for each other which means that apartment will naturally be a place of kindness.
Furthermore, as far as I convinced that a lot of citizen who lives in apartment feel very secure and safe. The primary reason is that if a family who is living in the any block of an apartment and suddenly that family needs an emergency help then the family can ask help with another family who is surviving in another block of that apartment. For instance, my uncle live in a apartment at Kathmandu and when I went there on my vacation at that time a family from the third block of that apartment needs a emergency help from my uncle because one of the family member of third block feel seisure and they want my uncle's car to reach the hospital and my uncle helped them at emergency. As a result, after that incident it creates a well trustable behavior among us and when ever we need help from them in future we can ask them without any hesitation.
Therefore, although there are minor arguements against this, I strongly assert that this will provide enough homes for the residents of that city because there are a lot of industries and companies which covers a large number of area which cause lack of homes in the city but apartment is the best solution for this diffiiculty.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you completely agree that tall apartments are the best way to provide homes, and the conclusion returns to this view. You give two relevant reasons—efficient land use and residents helping one another—and support them with a Kathmandu example and a personal anecdote. However, the land-use argument is not fully clear: the comparison between one house and a five-block apartment needs explanation, and the claim that apartments are the best solution could be weighed against alternatives such as building outward or improving transport to less crowded areas. The safety point mainly illustrates neighbourly assistance rather than explaining how apartment blocks provide enough homes. Develop these links more explicitly and extend the less-developed ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Furthermore” and “Therefore” help signal the stages of your argument. The main progression is understandable, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “there are clear reasons why tall apartment consume same area” is followed by a comparison whose point is difficult to follow, and the shift from land efficiency to “benevolence” is not clearly linked to the housing question. The long Kathmandu anecdote also contains several ideas in one sentence, making the sequence harder to track. Use clearer topic sentences, divide complex examples into shorter steps, and make each paragraph’s final point explicitly connect to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “tall apartment blocks,” “area of land,” “residents” and “emergency help.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “benevolence” and “hesitation,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural and occasionally make the meaning harder to understand. Examples include “consume same area,” “a bunch of residents,” “well trustable behavior” and “surviving in another block.” Spelling errors such as “arguements,” “diffiiculty” and “seisure” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling; for instance, describe apartments as “accommodating more households on the same plot” rather than saying they “consume” an area.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if a family … needs an emergency help then the family can ask help.” This gives the response some variety, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms remain. For example, “tall apartment consume” needs a plural subject and matching verb, while “my uncle live” should use a singular verb. In “if an individual is making one block house, he/she building that house,” the verb pattern is incomplete and the sentence is difficult to follow. Review articles and plural forms as well, and break long sentences into shorter units. More accurate complex sentences would make your reasoning clearer.
