Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You state a relevant position—“I agree”—and give reasons connected to housing in large cities, including shared facilities and lower costs. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: it does not explain why tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes, nor consider any limitations or alternatives. The point about “more space” is unclear, and the claims about facilities and fixed rent are not supported with examples or explanation. The response is also substantially below the required minimum length, leaving the argument incomplete. Develop each reason with a clear explanation and a relevant example, and make your position explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic sequence: it gives your opinion, then offers reasons and describes apartment facilities. This provides some organisation, and phrases such as “because” and “such as” help connect ideas. However, the two short paragraphs do not develop a clear progression, and the second paragraph combines several points without showing how they support the claim that tall blocks are the best solution. Some references, such as “their” in “their are many space,” also make the meaning harder to follow. Use separate paragraphs for distinct reasons, and connect each claim to the main argument with clear explanation and examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “large cities,” “apartment blocks,” “facilities,” “monthly rent,” and “electricity,” so the general subject is understandable. However, the range is limited, and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, such as “much homes,” “seperate home,” “peoples,” and “applienes.” Phrases such as “get more space” are also unclear in this context. These issues reduce precision, even though the reader can identify your main point. Build a more accurate housing vocabulary and check spelling and collocations; for example, distinguish between providing more housing and giving residents more living space.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and a reason clause, as in “I agree with this because…,” but most sentences rely on basic patterns, so the range is limited. Errors in verb forms and sentence construction appear in “is to constructed” and “By made large apartments.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and plural forms in “their are many space” and “the monthly rent that are already fixed.” Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, particularly around commas and full stops. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the general message, but they make the writing less controlled. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence.
