Student answer (Band 5.5)
The number of population is rising in big cities as individuals from rural areas heading towards metropolitan areas of country, as a result get better working oppurtunities. To deal with such migrants, a solution has been presented is that to build tall building block appartments to provide them a proper accomodation. In my view, i disagree with this statement because estabilishing tall blocks of appartment will not solve the issue of increasing figure of migrants in a society. They should be provided with oppurtunities in their hometown.
To commence with, migrants from the remote areas of the country seek towards the large cities to get better working oppurtunities. This is a huge step to reshap their professional life as well as personal grooming. After getting employement in big cities, the big concern of them is valid accomodation. Moreover, in majority cases residence is provided by the company who offerd the job. This is considered an essential benefit to employe. Although our society is progressing in a rapid speed and limited working scope in low tier areas of the country, leading people to migrate to big cities.
Furthermore, a huge number of people who have no prior working experience in any department also come to cities to find better employement. Big cities are developed after considering the requirements of society. Excessive migration causes issue to the well being of a society because cities are meant to be expensive so the person who came in city to find work will not able to manage expensive accomodation from scratch. So building huge and taler appartment in cities will not primarily solve the issue of residence. Facilities and work should be provided to the less developed areas of the country so people dont have to leave their hometown for the sake of money.
To recapulate, building taller buildings in metropolitan and big cities will not solve the entire concern of providing residence. Organizations and government should encourage the related sectors to provide oppurtunities to those people who are living in remote areas and cannot afford the high rent in cities. These initiatives will solve the issues of increasing migrants in big areas of country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you disagree that tall apartment blocks are the best solution, and you propose creating jobs and services in people’s hometowns instead. You also explain relevant pressures, including migration for work and the high cost of city accommodation. However, the response only partly addresses the central question of whether building tall blocks can provide enough homes. The discussion shifts mainly to why people migrate, and the claim that companies often provide housing is not developed or connected clearly to your argument. To strengthen the response, compare the housing capacity and limitations of high-rise construction with your alternative, and support each main point with a specific example or fuller explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and transitions such as “Furthermore” and “To recapulate” signal movement between sections. The overall line of argument is understandable, but progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from migrants’ career goals to employer-provided housing and then to limited work in smaller areas without showing the links between these points. Some connections are also repetitive: the conclusion restates that tall buildings will not solve the problem, then repeats the proposal to create opportunities in remote areas. Use clearer topic sentences and develop one connected point at a time, with referencing that makes it clear who or what each sentence refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “metropolitan areas,” “accommodation,” “migration” and “less developed areas,” so the main ideas can be understood. However, the range is limited by repeated words such as “opportunities,” “cities” and “issue,” and several choices or collocations are inaccurate, including “number of population,” “seek towards” and “in a rapid speed.” Spelling errors such as “oppurtunities,” “appartment” and “employement” are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the writing. Aim to use more precise alternatives and check spelling carefully. For instance, “population growth” and “move to cities in search of work” would express your meaning more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “as” and “although.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to follow. The opening sentence has an incomplete construction: “as individuals from rural areas heading towards…” needs a finite verb, while “a solution has been presented is that…” combines incompatible structures. There are also problems with articles, agreement and verb forms, as in “the person who came in city…will not able” and “the company who offerd the job.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including the lowercase “i” and missing spaces after full stops. Practise building accurate clauses before combining them.
