Student answer (Band 5.5)
Now-a-days tall apartment blocks are suitable way to provide enough homes in large cities and i totally agree with this statement.
Earlier, people used to by their lands and build their own house. Sometimes people also buy properties to show case to there relatives and society by which recently we can see in cities there are shortage of housing. Instead of buying multiple houses or land they might stick to their need. So that government can build apartment which can accomodate numbers of families.
Therefore, in villa's only one family can stay where if government cna build an apartment by giving contract to other companies it can help several famileies who are moving to cities for studying, work or for other purpose.
Although, I remember one of my friend from rural area moved to Delhi city for studies he stayed at my house for 3 months because it was difficult to find a vacant house. Later he found one apartment which was like a society and moved there.
To conclude building apartment is best practice so that most people can get accomodation easily.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear position in the opening—“I totally agree”—and keep it consistent in the conclusion. The response is relevant to the question, with points about using apartments to house several families and the difficulty of finding accommodation in Delhi. However, these ideas are only briefly explained, and the personal example does not fully show why tall blocks are the best solution compared with alternatives. The response addresses the task only partially because it contains 175 words, 75 below the required minimum; the 8 words copied from the prompt are excluded. Develop two reasons in more detail, explain how high-rise construction increases housing capacity, and support your view with a fuller example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction, supporting paragraphs, a personal example, and a conclusion. The reader can follow the central argument from the claim that apartments accommodate more families to the example of a student seeking housing in Delhi. Paragraphing helps separate these points. However, progression between ideas is sometimes unclear: the paragraph about people buying land and properties moves quickly to government construction without explaining the connection. Linking phrases such as “Therefore” and “Although” are used, but “Although” does not introduce a contrasting idea in that paragraph. Make each paragraph develop one clear reason and use transitions that accurately show how the ideas relate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “apartment blocks,” “shortage of housing,” “vacant house,” and “accommodation.” This gives the response enough topic-specific language to communicate its main point. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, or collocation errors make parts less natural, such as “show case to there relatives,” “stick to their need,” and “provide enough homes.” Some forms are also inaccurate, including “famileies” and “accomodation.” Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling and collocations carefully. For example, explain that high-rise buildings can “increase housing capacity” and that residents may “meet their housing needs.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and some attempts at longer structures, such as “Instead of buying multiple houses or land they might stick to their need.” The main position and example are generally understandable. However, the range remains limited, and attempts to connect clauses are often faulty or incomplete. For instance, “where if government cna build an apartment” does not form a clear grammatical relationship, while “one of my friend … he stayed” has a number-agreement error and an unclear pronoun reference. There are also recurring problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate complex sentences with clear subjects and connectors, and check agreement and punctuation before submitting.
