Student answer (Band 5.0)
i strongly agree with the statement which is to build tall apartment blocks in order to provide several homes in big cities because, tall buildings have enough apartment in which people can reside.
first and foremost, If we take a look on our surroundings there are many apartments that are tall and well build and maintained, furthermore some are underconstruction. There are several benefits for people who live in a apartments, For instance, The ambiance of the apartments is really fascinating then commercial homes on top of that there is well organised parking saperately in the basement.
And overall tall buildings helps a city to look like modernised. However the major concern is that how to provide enough homes to the people by building apartment block. In my opinion every apartment should be made on 20 floors and each aparment has to be enough homes.
Another keypoint is that if we take a closer look or If i talk on my own experince we have our own house based on 4 floors. The 1 is ground floor 2 on the top and moreover on top of that there is a penthouse and we struggle living in it because of car parking concerns in our society and water sewerage problems on the other hand in most of the apartments there is organised councils that work for the peoples and helps maintain the buildings.
In conclusion i agree with the statement Government should focus on building apartments to give enough homes to people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear overall position—“I strongly agree”—and give relevant reasons, including the efficient use of space in cities and the benefits of organised parking and building management. However, the response only partially develops the central argument about how tall blocks provide enough homes. The suggestion that every apartment should have 20 floors is unclear, and the discussion of your four-floor home focuses mainly on parking and water problems rather than comparing housing capacity. Explain more directly how high-rise construction accommodates more households and support this with a specific example. A clearer explanation of why this is the best approach, while acknowledging any limitation, would make your response more complete and convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
Your response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “first and foremost,” “another keypoint” and “in conclusion” help show the intended structure. However, the ideas do not progress consistently: the paragraph about apartment benefits shifts from ambience to parking, then to the appearance of a modern city, without clearly linking these points to providing enough homes. The personal example also combines several ideas in a long passage, making the relationship between your house, apartment management and the main argument difficult to follow. Some linking phrases are repetitive or awkwardly placed. Give each paragraph one main purpose, order its supporting points logically, and use clear references to connect examples to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “commercial homes,” “car parking concerns” and “water sewerage problems,” so the reader can identify the subject of your response. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “enough apartment,” “commercial homes” and “organised councils.” Spelling and word formation also need attention in “underconstruction,” “saperately” and “aparment.” These issues sometimes make the intended meaning harder to understand. Build a more precise vocabulary for housing and urban planning, and check whether each phrase expresses the meaning you intend. Using fewer, more accurate topic-specific expressions would strengthen your argument.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to use both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “if” and “on the other hand.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, sentence boundaries and punctuation can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “tall buildings helps” has subject–verb disagreement, while “people who live in a apartments” has an article error. The opening sentence also joins ideas awkwardly after “because,” and several sentences run together, as in “modernised.However.” Practise building one complete idea per sentence, checking singular and plural subjects, and using full stops and commas consistently. This will make your reasoning easier to read.
