Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today' modern world, even after the deforestation there are shortage of houses for the public. Due to which tall apartment blocks are built for people to overcome this problem. From my percpective, it is a good development for the city as well as the population as people can get shelter and it does not takes land as much as normal tenaments and apartments.
To commence with, flats provide enough homes to people at reasonabkle price. The price of such accomodation is lower than other, due to which poor people can also afford it. Apart from this, tall apartments blocks does not need larger area to build it can be done in less area than duplexes, tenaments and so on. One of the major reason of constructing taller apartments is to foster convenient lifestyle like having gym, playing area, club house and so on. Moreover, high rise residence can give economic progress as appointing labours for erecting. As a result, flats can give better lifestyle to the humans at a cheaper price and can provide enough houses to the citizens with good commodities.
On the other hand, there are some negative aspects of developing high rise residneces. For instance, not enough parking space as there are less area remained at ground, the problem car and motorcyle can be produced especially when there is not basememt parking facility. Another major reason is not having own terrace and land. In such accomodation, people can not get their personal terrace and land, both are social as anyone can use it.
In counclusion, I totally agreed with the statement as the advantages outweigh the drawbacks. And people can get shelter with good facilities which is affordable and convenient.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that tall apartment blocks are an effective way to provide housing, and you give relevant reasons, including affordability, efficient land use and shared facilities. You also acknowledge drawbacks such as limited parking and the lack of private outdoor space, so the response addresses both sides of the question. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that high-rise housing creates economic progress through employing labourers is not developed, and the parking concern is not connected to whether this makes tall blocks less effective overall. Explain these points with a specific example and weigh the drawbacks against your main argument more explicitly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting high-rise housing, a paragraph on drawbacks, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “To commence with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument, and the main ideas generally progress logically. This already gives the essay a coherent flow. To make the organisation more flexible and precise, avoid relying on formulaic transitions and strengthen the links between individual claims. For instance, the sentence about employing labourers is followed by a broad conclusion about lifestyle and affordability without showing how the ideas connect. Clearer referencing and more deliberate progression within paragraphs would improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of housing and urban-development vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “accommodation,” “duplexes,” “parking space,” and “facilities.” These choices make the topic clear, and phrases such as “economic progress” show an attempt to use less common language. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural collocations are noticeable, as in “percpective,” “reasonabkle price,” “high rise residence,” and “good commodities.” Some repetition of “people,” “enough homes,” and “apartments” also limits flexibility. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “affordable housing” and “shared amenities” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect structures such as “The price of such accomodation is lower than other, due to which poor people can also afford it.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. Examples include “there are shortage” (article and agreement), “it does not takes land” (verb form), and “tall apartments blocks does not need” (agreement). The fragment “not enough parking space as there are less area remained at ground” also needs a complete clause and clearer sentence structure. Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms, and edit long sentences so each has a clear grammatical core.
