Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear position: “I entirely agree,” and give a relevant reason that tall buildings can house many people while using less land. However, the response addresses the question only minimally. The explanation stops after introducing the land-saving benefit, and there is no developed example, further supporting reason, or consideration of how apartment blocks provide enough homes. The final sentence is also incomplete, so the argument does not reach a conclusion. The response is 127 words, below the required 250, which leaves the task substantially underdeveloped. To strengthen your response, explain the benefit in detail, add a specific example, and complete the essay with a conclusion that restates your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening paragraph gives your position, and the next begins to explain a supporting reason. Linking phrases such as “In my opinion” and “to begin with” help signal the argument. However, the overall progression is limited because the second paragraph ends abruptly, with no further development or conclusion. The long gaps between words and the unfinished final sentence also interrupt the flow. Build a clear sequence of introduction, developed supporting paragraphs, and conclusion; use linking expressions only where they show a genuine relationship between ideas, and ensure each paragraph is complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “urban centers,” “shelter,” “land area,” and “apartment blocks,” so the reader can identify the subject of your argument. However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word combinations make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “bieng,” “major issue,” “metro politant,” “perfect aproach,” and “accomodate.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “the current value of land” and “the city parameters.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for housing and urban development. More precise terms such as “limited urban land,” “high-rise apartments,” and “accommodate residents” would make your ideas clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “In my opinion” and a reason introduced by “considering that.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “building tall flblocks of flat is have many advantages” has an unclear structure, while “these tall building occupies” has a subject–verb agreement error. The final clause, “so it reduces the amount to buy many land area,” is also grammatically incomplete or unclear. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, checking singular and plural agreement, and using full stops to separate ideas.
