Student answer (Band 5.5)

Owning a house is the basic right of human being and this is possibel by constucting tall buildings in big cities. I do agree with the statement because everyone deserve home to live but due to limited land area and expensive raw materials make it difficult.

Development is going all over the world, more skycrapper is being constructing very rapidly which making it difficult for people to purchase the land and construct their home. It has one more side effect is that it making the problem of land scarcity. And Because of inflation which is increasing every year drastically which increasing the cost of land and cost of constructing house even it has seen that the construction house is more coster than owning the land

However because of tall building consits of many apartment rectify the solution which eventually decrease the cost of price and there is also option on purchase by emi which making it easy for middle class to have and live in a home. Also they dont have to worry about paying the amount in one go they can pay on monthy basis under emi. For example earlier if someone want to purchase a home they have to buy a land and then invest time and money and wait years to fully furnished the home and then get settlled there but because of tall building which provide fully furnished apartment readymade just go and directly purchase it and settled on the spot

I belive in the statement because of apartment blocks evert class in the society can dream a own house and one more benefit is that in a building there are lots of apartment so knowing people can take near by apartment which feel like the family is living near by so in festival they came together and celebrate even they are there in any problem arises they are there for the help and also in tall building all the facilities are there in the building only so the people dont have ot go some for it

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that tall apartment blocks can help provide homes, and you give relevant reasons, including limited land, lower purchase costs through instalments, and access to facilities. The example contrasting buying land and building a house with purchasing a ready-made apartment also supports your view. However, some points are more fully addressed than others. The discussion of affordability is repeated, while the claim that neighbours can live close together and support one another is introduced briefly and not explained as a reason for meeting housing needs. To strengthen the response, develop fewer points in more depth and explain how each directly makes housing more available. You could also acknowledge a limitation, such as overcrowding or pressure on services, before explaining why you still agree.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces your position, discusses land scarcity and costs, and then presents benefits of apartment blocks. Examples and linking expressions such as “However” and “For example” help readers follow the main direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track. The second paragraph repeats the idea of rising costs, and several sentences are joined by “and” or “which,” making the relationships between points unclear. The final paragraph also combines affordability, community, festivals, help, and facilities without clear separation. Give each paragraph one main purpose, use clearer sentence boundaries, and make references such as “it” and “they” explicit. This would make the organisation more consistently easy to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “land scarcity,” “inflation,” “middle class,” “fully furnished,” and “facilities,” so the reader can understand the subject and your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repeated. Phrases such as “cost of price,” “construction house,” and “more coster” are not natural English, while “skycrapper” and “possibel” contain spelling errors. Repetition of “home,” “building,” and “cost” also limits precision. Build a more accurate set of housing-related expressions and check spelling and word forms. For example, distinguish between the cost of land, construction costs, and apartment prices rather than using “cost” repeatedly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including explanations with “because” and a contrast introduced by “However.” This allows you to communicate a clear overall position, but control is uneven: many sentences contain errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, or sentence construction. For instance, “everyone deserve home” needs a singular verb and an article, while “more skycrapper is being constructing” has problems with number and the passive form. The long sentence beginning “For example earlier if someone want” also shifts between verb forms and becomes difficult to follow. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then connect them with a controlled range of complex structures. Check subject–verb agreement, tense consistency, and sentence boundaries during revision.
