Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You state a position at the start—“I dont agree”—and refer to housing for poorer people, so the response is connected to the topic. However, the argument is only minimally addressed: it does not explain clearly why tall apartment blocks are or are not the best way to provide homes, and the alternative of building “where far and near” is too unclear to support your view. The response also falls 171 words short of the required minimum, leaving no room to develop reasons or give a relevant example. To strengthen the answer, explain your position directly, give at least two relevant reasons, and support them with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you begin with your opinion and then mention housing for poorer people and the importance of money. However, these points run together in one long sentence, with no paragraphing or clear progression from claim to explanation. The repeated use of “and” does not show how the ideas relate, and phrases such as “dont disturbe there peace for just of money” make the line of reasoning difficult to follow. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion. Within each paragraph, connect each claim to its explanation with clear linking expressions and refer to ideas explicitly.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “large cities,” “homes,” “tall building,” “apartment,” and “poor people,” which gives the reader a general sense of the subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and several word choices or spellings make the intended meaning unclear. For example, “form homes” does not clearly express the housing problem, while “apartment factory” is not a natural phrase for a place where homes are built. “Fulfill there needs” also uses an imprecise expression in this context. Build a more accurate range around housing and urban development, and check spelling and collocations so your ideas can be understood without guesswork.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response shows an attempt to express a position and connect ideas, but sentence structures are very limited and control is inconsistent. The opening, “I dont agree this statement,” is missing a grammatical link; a clearer form is “I do not agree with this statement.” In “we can built,” the verb form after “can” is incorrect, and “where poor people can easily stay there” combines a relative clause with an unnecessary repeated location reference. The long sequence of clauses also lacks punctuation, making relationships between ideas hard to identify. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using controlled clauses, with attention to verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries.
